Cadillac Escalade-V Gets Air In Field Jump: Video

The Cadillac Escalade-V got its big debut early last year, dropping cover in January of 2022 as a new high-performance variant of the iconic luxury SUV. Sporting a supercharged V8 and a long list of complementary components, the Cadillac Escalade-V is a riot to drive. Now, some hooligans are seeing how the new SUV flies in the following viral video clip.
Recently posted to Instagram by user @theraptorconnection, the clip shows a rolling field with tall, green grass, as well as a track running parallel to some utility poles. As the video opens, we see a Cadillac Escalade-V accelerating hard along the track, charging up a crest in the hill. The 6,200-pound SUV is seen launching up and over the small hill, lifting all four tires off the ground in the process. The SUV lands on its front end first, the suspension bottoming out before the driver hits the brakes.
In the list of activities one can do with the Cadillac Escalade-V, jumping it in a field seems like a relatively silly option. At least these folks aren’t doing it on crowded city streets though, right?

In another post, @theraptorconnection sets up a race between the Cadillac Escalade-V, a Ford F-150 Raptor R, a Ram 1500 TRX, and a BMW X7. Again, this isn’t exactly scientific, given the uneven, loose ground, but hey, seeing all that horsepower unleashed across a grassy field is certainly a sight in and of itself:

For those readers who may be unaware, the Cadillac Escalade-V is equipped with the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, the same powerplant found in the third-generation Cadillac CTS-V, Chevy Camaro ZL1, seventh-generation Corvette Z06, and Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. Under the hood of the Cadillac Escalade-V, the LT4 produces a maximum of 682 horsepower. Output is routed through the GM 10-speed automatic transmission, with upgraded brakes and Magnetic Ride Control in place to manage the heft. The GM T1 platform provides the underpinnings, while production takes place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

Sigh…
GMA: Please stop giving these morons who perform dangerous and stupid stunts for social media a place on GMA.
Just because they are doing these stupid things in a GM vehicle does NOT make it new-worthy. Your judgement is being clouded.
BTW, I didn’t watch either video and I think you should remove them. Others need to stop enabling these morons by watching what they do.
It’s on private property and they aren’t harming anyone but themselves potentially. If it was on public roads I would completely agree, but that’s going a bit overboard, no?
Overboard? Not in the least. Does the idiot have the 120 grand box insured? I’ll bet they do. And if/when something happens and he turns a claim into his insurance, they need to arrest him for insurance fraud.
It’s this stuff that causes insurance increases for normal people like me. All people like this want is attention and GMA is giving it to them on here.
Are you an insurance agent? Lol Because I find it hard to believe to that anyone would parrot that line otherwise. This is absolutely NOT affecting your insurance premium. Ever increasing profit targets for both insurers and repair vendors have a much greater effect on the bottom line. Zero financial consideration for your true driving history etc. Please be realistic
Karson must be one of the look at me crowds that lives on attention.
I’m not in the insurance business. If you actually think that all insurance rates are not affected by claims, then I feel sorry for you. Your own words contradict yourself in one sentence. Those ever increasing profit targets you speak about? When claims go up and payouts are higher, how do you think they attain those targets you speak of?
eh, settle down Beavis. Maybe you should get a job as a bureaucrat in the nanny state so you can tell us all how we should behave.
All of that weight coming down can’t be good on it, especially the suspension components.
Probably a lease.
Whee…..
To be sold to an unsuspecting buyer someday (likely with a misrepresented history), if it doesn’t get totaled first.
