The General is gearing up to electrify the Cadillac Escalade. Dubbed the Cadillac Escalade IQ, the new all-electric luxury utility will feature some interesting features inspired by the Cadillac Celestiq ultra-luxury sedan. Now, it looks as though one of those features may be the infotainment layout.
As GM Authority covered previously, the all-electric Cadillac Escalade IQ was recently spotted testing as a camo-clad prototype, revealing a few tantalizing hints as to what the cabin design may look like.
Looking through the window, we see what appears to be a full-width infotainment screen that looks similar to that equipped by the Cadillac Celestiq. Although there is still camo covering the top of the dash, it’s flipped back to expose a long, rectangular piece that may very well be a massive door-to-door display panel. In fact, the piece also shows a break around the passenger’s seat, indicating the presence of a smaller screen for the front-seated passenger.
All of this draws similarities to the door-to-door screen equipped by the Cadillac Celestiq, including the separation for the passenger-side screen. Although it’s not clear if this layout is inspired by the Celestiq, or it’s a total carryover from the sedan to the Cadillac Escalade IQ, such a layout would definitely provide an interesting visual similarity between the two all-electric luxury models.
Last year, during GM’s 2022 Investor Day event, General Motors President Mark Reuss stated that a forthcoming “full-sized Cadillac electric SUV” would be “a pinnacle of design and execution,” adding that “some of the things we learned on Celestiq will find their way into these vehicles, which I think is going to wow the world once again.” All of that certainly suggests there could be some carry over between the Cadillac Celestiq and forthcoming Cadillac Escalade IQ. Indeed, we already know that the wheel design will be somewhat similar, as GM Authority covered previously.

So what you’re saying is… that’s NOT a Hyundai Palisade under wraps? It’s proportioned just like a Palisade. Not an Escalade.
so you’re telling me its an SUV? You’re good!
Gotta love the grand Wagoneer shifter
Wrong, the shifter is column mounted. The dial on the center console is the MFC for the infotainment screen.
Curious how much this will be, on the low end might by $149k, wouldn’t be surprised if it starts at $199k however…
I’d bet it’s going to be priced with the EQS SUV
Yes I like it … And think of how much money you would save over an ICE V8 with 16mpg,I love big V8 vehicles but this thing looks nice now if it can deliver 450-600 mile range why wouldn’t people buy it? They already pay well over $120,000 for a fully loaded ICE escalade.
Yes…all that money you save…after you forget that this will cost 10s of thousands more than a similar ICE version. lol People that buy these aren’t looking to save anything.
Does BMW XM give GM more price elasticity, assuming fit, finish, and performance are on par with ICE?
KMPrenger… Actually people who got rich got rich because they watch their money… They don’t buy things they really can’t afford! Ya know I am deleting my user name I am tired of the negative, put down, what can GM do for me comments… Later everyone from now on I will just read!
