C8 Corvette Poses As A Ferrari In Bodykit: Video

From its mid-engine platform, to its eye-catching styling, the C8 Corvette has the right stuff to challenge a range of high-end sports cars and exotics right from the factory. However, for some buyers, the stock C8 Corvette is more of a blank canvas to build something uniquely their own. That certainly seems to be the case for the owner of the C8 Corvette featured in the following viral video, who decided to turn their Chevy into – a Ferrari?!

Viral video screenshot showing a Ferrari-badged C8 Corvette.

Recently hitting social media, this viral video appears as though it was captured in a public parking lot, where the individual behind the camera gives the viewer a walk around the Ferrari’d C8 Corvette with ongoing commentary. The person behind the camera is clearly surprised by what they’re seeing, showing off the various exterior features with a sense of astonishment and awe.

Breaking it down, what we’re seeing appears to be a custom widebody kit applied to a C8 Corvette Stingray. The kit looks to be a combination of different components, including pieces pulled from the Pandem catalogue, such as the rear wing. However, the bits most likely to get folks riled up have to be the Ferrari badging. The famous Italian Prancing Horse can be seen on the nose, on the front fenders, and in the rear, as well as in the center caps of the deep-dish, two-tone wheels.

The whole thing is slathered in bright yellow paint that’s offset by black accents. The end result is certainly aggressive, but while casual onlookers may be fooled, anyone with a passing interest in the C8 Corvette will probably be able to identify this thing as a Chevy from a distance. Interestingly, it’s worth mentioning that the C8 Corvette Z06 was actually benchmarked against the Ferrari 458, so at least there’s that.

As a reminder, the C8 Corvette Stingray is equipped with the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine, while under the body, the C8 rides on the GM Y2 platform. Production takes place at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

  1. Apart from the high spoiler in the back, the backside of the car is different, correct? It looks like there’s a piece that covers the engine. Am I right?

  2. It is the owner’s money and he can do as he pleases.

With this being said, this is beyond simple-minded. If you want a Ferrari, go and buy one. What he did is no different than buying an ’85 Chevy Cavalier, putting a body kit on it and swapping for Ferrari badges. Embarrassing doesn’t begin to explain this abomination. I build my Camaros and Corvettes for what they are and would never think of swapping badges. Wow…

  8. Who knows why people do what they do? I suspect someone is making a statement and is in some way comparing the 2 cars. I personally think Ferrari has always been overrated.

  9. The whole Pandem kit looks good, this mixed up kit…not so much. People have been putting crazy body kits on Vettes for 60 years. why should the C8 be any different. More money than class.
