Buick Regal Fails To Turn At Intersection, Bumps Into GMC Savana: Video

Some intersections can be a bit confusing. Maybe the signs aren’t all that clear, or maybe they’re obscured by something on the side of the road, or possibly even traffic. Regardless, the driver behind the wheel of the Buick Regal featured in the following video definitely appears to be confused as they collide with a GMC Savana.

Recently hitting social media, this video is simple and straightforward, showing a collision between the two vehicles over the course of just a few seconds.

The video opens with a bright and sunny day, where we see the view forward through another driver’s windshield, with the accident apparently captured by a dash cam. Visibility is good and the pavement looks to be clean and dry.

As the video gets under way, we see a Buick Regal and GMC Savana start to accelerate away from a stoplight, which appears to have just turned green. As the two vehicles pull forward, we see a dotted white line between the two vehicles bend to the left, indicating that the white Buick Regal is in a turning lane. Meanwhile, the white GMC Savana van can either turn left or go straight, with the driver opting for the former.

Unfortunately, it appears as though the driver in the Buick Regal is unaware that they are in a turning lane, and simply continues straight ahead. Ignoring the signs and dotted white line, it is somewhat understandable, given the road ahead has two lanes, one of which lines up with the Regal’s turning lane.

Nether vehicle realizes what is happening until it’s too late. The GMC Savana turns left into the Buick Regal, bouncing off the front fender before veering back to the right.

Although details on where and when this happened are not offered, a user in the comments section says they have seen similar collisions at that exact intersection many times before.
