As previously reported by GM Authority, certain units of the Buick Enclave, along with other Buick models, were built without the Front and Rear Park Assist feature. Now, GM Authority has learned that dealer retrofits for affected Enclave units are under way.
Affected 2022 Enclave and 2023 Enclave examples built without the Front and Rear Park Assist (RPO code UD5) feature can now have a retrofit performed. Before the limited availability, this feature was equipped as standard fare across the entire trim lineup of 2022 and 2023 model-year vehicles.
According to General Motors, this limited availability was due to the worldwide semiconductor shortage, and began affecting Enclave models from December 20th, 2021 production and onwards. Affected units were indicated as such with RPO code 00Z on the window sticker.
From the 2023 Enclave’s start of regular production (SORP) up until July 24th, 2022, certain units were also built without this feature. Notably, affected vehicles were indicated as such with the same 00Z RPO code on the window sticker.
It’s worth noting that there were many GM vehicles affected by this constriction, including:

As a reminder, the Buick Enclave is powered by the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LFY gasoline engine, which produces 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. This output is routed to the ground through the GM nine-speed automatic transmission. FWD is standard while AWD is optional.
Under the skin, the Enclave rides on the long-wheelbase version of the GM C1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan. The 2023 model year started production on June 11th, 2022.
