The BrightDrop Zevo 600, General Motors’ all-electric delivery van, serves to provide customers the opportunity to transform their commercial business in an electrified fashion. Now, as an effort to commemorate this all-electric application, BrightDrop has released a video highlighting its EV delivery vans.
In this video, BrightDrop emphasizes how everything in life is connected, and how integral the commercial delivery sector is to our everyday use. To demonstrate this point, the video begins and ends with a BrightDrop unit transporting goods.
In other recent BrightDrop news, the first 500 units of the all-electric delivery van began shipping out in early April 2023. While assembly at the GM CAMI plant originally began back in December 2022, production has been slowly ramping up towards a goal of 50,000 Zevo 600 units built yearly by 2025.
As a reminder, the BrightDrop Zevo 600 was the fastest-built vehicle General Motors has ever produced, where development took only 20 months from concept to commercialization. In fact, all 2023 BrightDrop Zevo 600 units have since been sold out, while reservations for 2024 models are currently being accepted. Thus far, more than 30 commercial customers have placed orders for the electric cargo van, with Merchants Fleet already ordering 12,600 units.
As far as specifications of the all-electric delivery van, the BrightDrop Zevo 600 features a 600 cubic-foot cargo capacity – hence the name – along with a 250-mile range on a full charge. A suite of safety features are equipped as standard, and include Automatic Emergency Braking, Front and Rear Park Assist, and IntelliBeam LED headlamps.
Motivation is sourced from Ultium battery and Ultium Drive motor technologies, which develop 300 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. In addition, the BrightDrop Zevo 600 offers 20 kW DC fast charging or AC Level 2 11.5 kW charging capabilities, and offers a peak recharging rate of 160 miles per hour.

Never heard of Merchants Fleet, must be a CA thing.
Cool video, but disappointing that the entire video is animated and they never show an actual BrightDrop van. Additionally, I wonder how many even know what the video is actually advertising? It sounds more like an ad for a delivery service than a delivery vehicle manufacturer, and I don’t think it even mentions that they are EV. I am not a marketing expert, so maybe these types of ads are more effective than I realize, just hard to make a connection to the actual product.
