General Motors unveiled the reborn GMC Hummer EV Pickup back in October of 2020, with the first examples dropping in for the 2022 model year. Framed as a highly capable all-electric off-roader stuffed to the brim with attitude and technology, GM is now set to launch two entry-level trims for the 2024 model year, specifically the GMC Hummer EV 2 and GMC Hummer EV 2X. The 2 and 2X will join the 3X to round out the lineup.
The GMC Hummer EV 2 and 2X both equip a two-motor powertrain, with one GM Ultium Drive motor in front, and a second motor mounted in the rear. Both models also equip a 20-module GM Ultium battery pack. At present, exact peak output figures for the 2024 GMC Hummer EV 2 and 2X Pickup variants are not currently available, however, when the GMC Hummer EV was initially announced in October of 2020, GM stated that these two trims would generate an estimated 625 horsepower and 7,400 pound-feet of torque.
The 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup will once again offer the 3X trim level, which will serve as the range-topper of the lineup. The 2024 GMC Hummer EV 3X Pickup will continue to run a three-motor setup producing an expected 830 horsepower, and 1,000 horsepower with the optional 24-module battery pack. The GMC Hummer EV Pickup Edition 1, which was initially set to be available exclusively for the 2022 model year, but later extended into the 2023 model year, will not return for the 2024 model year.
As a reminder, the GMC Hummer EV Pickup rides on the GM BT1 platform, while production takes place exclusively at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.

They can add all the Trim levels they want but who cares when they build 5 vehicles in a Quarter.
What a HUGE missed opportunity for them. The Hummer was and still is highly coveted. GM is really dropping the ball with their BEV Program!!!
