2024 Chevy S10 Midnight Officially Launches In Brazil

Two months after the debut of the new 2024 Chevy S10 Midnight in Brazil, General Motors has just officially launched the refreshed blacked-out version of Chevrolet‘s midsize pickup in the South American country.

The automaker launched the new 2024 Chevy S10 Midnight in Brazil, marking the return of the Midnight variant to the model lineup after being discontinued in 2020 with the arrival of the refreshed truck. As such, the new 2024 S10 Midnight returns with an updated design and more comfort, connectivity and safety elements to satisfy consumers who value custom-trimmed pickups.

“The New S10 Midnight aims to bring another customer profile to the product, as was done recently with the introduction of other versions,” said GM South America Product Marketing Director, Rodrigo Fioco. “Chevrolet, incidentally, is investing heavily in the pickup segment this year. We have already launched the Nova Montana and after the S10 Midnight, it will be the the turn of the Silverado, which will debut by the end of the second half,” he added.

Cosmetically, the new 2024 Chevy S10 Midnight stands out with its blacked-out overall finish with matte black and gloss black body moldings giving it a highly distinctive appearance. In addition to the sinister appearance, the S10 Midnight differs from other trim levels by including a unique grille finish with a black Bow Tie, LED headlamps with matte black housings, and the absence of roof rack bars.

Everything else on the 2024 Chevy S10 Midnight remains largely identical to the other trims, with slight interior differences like the Midnight badging on the door trims. Similarly, the new variant adopts the existing powertrain consisting of the 2.8L I4 XLD28 turbo-diesel Duramax engine with 200 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and a 4×4 drivetrain.

The new 2024 Chevy S10 Midnight is already reaching the network of official Chevrolet dealers in Brazil, where it’s now on sale as the sixth trim level of the pickup manufactured at the GM Sao Jose Dos Campos plant in that country. In particular, the 2024 S10 Midnight sits right in the middle of the range between the LT and Z71 trims with a starting price of 310,100 reais (about $61,900 USD at current exchange rates).

    1. This is basically a previous generation Chevy Colorado, but aimed at the global market. The model was discontinued in several places, leaving only Brazil so far.

  2. It should be sold in the U.S. and compete against the Ford Maverick and the imports.
