After being first introduced in the South American country during the recent Lollapalooza music festival, General Motors has just officially launched the 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV in Brazil.
The automaker’s Brazilian subsidiary has finally launched the new 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV in the local market, where it arrives in limited quantities as a transitional model towards GM’s next generation of Ultium-based electric vehicles. The 2023 Bolt EUV crossover represents a complement to the existing Bolt family offering in Brazil, and will be offered at a lower price than the Chevy Bolt EV.
Specifically, the 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV launches in Brazil with a single variant corresponding to the range-topping Premier trim level, and in a batch of only 200 units. That limited number of Bolt EUVs will primarily serve customers who have been waiting for the vehicle since it was announced in the middle of last year as one of the upcoming three Chevrolet EVs for South America.
As such, the 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV for Brazil is equipped as standard with the most technology and safety features available for the nameplate, making it one of the most advanced models in its segment within the country. The Bolt EUV comes standard with a single-motor powertrain rated at 203 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, along with a 65 kWh 288-cell lithium-ion battery pack with a range of 456 km (283 miles) on the WLTP cycle.
Along with the new 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV, GM Brazil is launching a new concierge service and complimentary three-year scheduled service called My EV Club, as well as the Chevrolet Electric Always Plan, a personalized financing program with which customers will be able to trade in their electric Chevrolet for another zero-mile unit, without having to disburse the residual part of the used one. The goal of both initiatives is to make it easier for consumers to join the new era of more efficient and sustainable cars.
The 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV will be available for sale later this month at the official Chevrolet EV dealer network in Brazil, which includes some 80 specialized stores with the necessary infrastructure to sell and offer technical support to the brand’s electric vehicles. The suggested price of the 2023 Bolt EUV Premier in the Brazilian market is 279,990 reais, about $56,150 USD at current exchange rates.

Really? Introduce the Bolt EUV now, send 200 units before it’s killed off in 4 or 5 months.
If this doesn’t totally stink of typical GM bulls**t, I don’t know what does. What a waste of time, resources and dealer training.
This makes absolutely no sense at all.
GM has no long term strategy and they never have. Instant profit is sought after. What a shame. When they get a good product, after working out the bugs, they dump the model The rich could care less, but the low income folks can’t get in on the American dream of owning a new auto.
Yet another EV flop for GM.
What a disgrace……
Andrew: It’s not the Bolt that is a flop and/or disgrace. It’s GM and their pathetic decision makers.
I get why they are sending these Bolts to people who have ordered these and been waiting on them. What I don’t understand is why Chevy is killing off the Bolt when they are selling so well, and they can’t meet demand as it is? I know it’s to transition the factory to making another EV, but couldn’t they build them at a new factory, and produce both? You wouldn’t see Honda or Toyota making these poor decisions.
Shouldn’t the title read “Discontinued 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV Officially Launches In Brazil”?
GM…how can we piss everyone off at the same time? This will do it…….
