Some trim levels of the refreshed 2023 Chevy Blazer are now being built with Rear Park Assist (RPO code UD7) installed and functional, GM Authority has learned.
Previous to this, Rear Park Assist has been unavailable on all trim levels of the 2023 Chevy Blazer since late 2022 as a result of supply chain disruptions caused in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Constraint on the Rear Park Assist feature has been partially lifted starting with May 2nd, 2023 production of the 2023 Chevy Blazer. Units of the RS and Premium trim levels are currently being built with Rear Park Assist. The feature is still under constraint on the 2LT and 3LT trims.
Rear Park Assist came under constraint starting with October 17th, 2022 production of the 2023 Chevy Blazer. Some units across all trim levels were built with Rear Park Assist. Vehicles affected by the constraint are marked as such with the RPO code 060 on their window sticker. No dealer retrofit will be made available, with owners of affected vehicles receiving a purchase credit instead.
Partial removal of the constraint comes approximately two months before production of the 2023 Chevy Blazer will cease on July 8th, 2023. Following that, the start of regular production (SORP) for the 2024 Chevy Blazer is currently scheduled for July 10th, 2023 at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.
The 2024 model year will introduce only a few updates and changes from the 2023 Chevy Blazer, which debuted the third generation’s mid-cycle refresh. In terms of aesthetics, the 2023 Blazer got a restyled front bumper, Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), and LED headlights, plus a revised grille design and the addition of the Jet Black/Nightshift Blue interior colorway.
The refreshed Blazer got several minor updates to its safety tech, with Adaptive Cruise Control available on the 2LT and 3LT trim levels. Additionally, the Chevy Safety Assist package is now standard for all trims, adding safety technologies such as Automatic Emergency Braking, Following Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning and IntelliBeam automatic high beams.
Turning to motivation, the turbocharged 2.0L LSY I4 gasoline engine is standard on 2LT, 3LT and Premier trim levels, and produces 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The naturally aspirated 3.6L LGX V6 gasoline engine – standard on the RS trim and optional for the 3LT and Premier trim levels – develops 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are paired with the GM nine-speed automatic transmission; FWD is standard and AWD is optional.

I think it is a shame that they can’t repair my 2023 RS Blazer, They can have their 145 dollar credit back, but I want my rear park assist to work!!!
I wonder if you can pay to have this option installed?? I’m in the same boat. All sorts of beeps coming from every angle except possibly the most important one, seemed kind of a dumb item to eliminate.
I’m sure they’d charge more than $145 though. 🙁
I hope this means vehicles built without RPO code 060 that have been sitting ‘Pending Dispatch’ will start shipping. I have a customer who’s been waiting 2 months since the vehicle was built without any update from GM. We have a similar RS scheduled for production this month but includes RPO 060, so I’m curious which one will ship first.
Our 23 Blazer Premier was ordered Nov. of 22 and still coded “Pending Dispatch” and still not shipped yet. I feel for you Nile but this time frame hurts.
