Sharing many parts and components from the first-generation Chevy Camaro, the third-generation Chevy Nova – spanning model years 1968 to 1974 – is an extremely popular choice amongst vintage Bow Tie enthusiasts. Now, this 1970 Chevy Nova is up for grabs in a new sweepstakes.
Featuring a Chevrolet Performance ZZ427/480 Big Block V8, this vinyl-roofed beast will be given away later this year as part of a sweepstakes. Winners will also receive $6,000 to cover taxes.

The sweepstakes is hosted by New Beginning Children’s Homes, which is offering this 1970 Chevy Nova as a prize in a new fundraising effort facilitated through Dream Giveaway. New Beginning Children’s Homes is a 501(c)(3) non-profit offering long-term residential care to foster children, providing kids in need with a safe, family atmosphere in which to grow, heal, and be loved. New Beginning Children’s Homes is the sole and exclusive sponsor and administrator for this Chevy Nova sweepstakes.
Boasting a frame-up restoration, this Nova is meant to run. While the Big Block crate engine is estimated to develop north of 400 horsepower, the Muncie four-speed manual transmission sourced from Auto Gear processes the cog swaps. Stainless-steel Flowmaster mufflers expel spent fumes, with cutouts that allow the driver to choose an exhaust note from mild to wild. Finally, a 12-bolt rear with 3.55 gears transmits the power to the wheels, while upgraded suspension pieces allow this Nova to handle a corner just as well as any straight.
Some additional, quality-of-life features include power steering and power front disc and rear drum brakes.
Now, this exemplary 1970 Chevy Nova can be yours. Every donation made to New Beginning Children’s homes through this sweepstakes will grant a chance to win, but GM Authority readers can use promo code GM0423N for bonus tickets.

Tony, friend of miner had a red 1970 SS Nova with a 350 and a four speed. Do you remember the horse power rating on that model. Thanks for your answer I appreciate it.
Axel Foley’s Nova!
My father had a 1970 Nova, same color! It had an automatic and no power steering. I remember taking my drivers test in that car!
Wow. That is such a nice looking car! Love the blue and wheels with the moon caps and the red stripe tires. I’d love it.
Bought a used ’70 Nova from local Chevy Dealer in 1976 after my ’55 was stolen at work. Needed wheels fast and Nova had just been traded in. Light metallic green 2-door. Only 6-cylinder auto. $1600 with 40k miles. Good car. Reliable. Got me too school and part-time job.
Nice car but I’m too used bucket seats and a auto trans..
I had a 69nova which was passed down thru the family. I had a lot of great times in that car.It was stolen when I went into the Navy in 87. Would love to win this one. I used to race at ocir
Today’s cars are so small. They just make it look big but when you get up close you see how small they are. This car would be HUGE next to them even though this would be considered a small car back then.
I owned a ’70 Nova SS, 350 engine, 4 speed tranny and posi rear. Was Midnite blue metallic w/black bench seat. Loved bench seat vs. buckets cause my date could sit next to me. I installed a killer stereo and had lots of fond memories with it including mid 14 sec. strip times on factory F-70/14 tires. Upgrades included tube headers and Hurst shifter (replaced sloppy Saginaw factory shifter)
