The fifth generation of the Escalade nameplate is due for a mid-cycle refresh when the 2024 Cadillac Escalade launches in late calendar 2023. Up to now, GM has been keeping the new design under wraps, using heavy camouflage during road testing.
Now, we’re giving you a preview what we think the refreshed 2024 Cadillac Escalade Sport trim’s front end might look like with this exclusive GM Authority rendering.
Reliable sources have tipped GM Authority off that the 2024 Cadillac Escalade Sport will borrow some important styling elements from the refreshed 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V. The General gave the Escalade-V a significantly more aggressive aesthetic treatment than the standard model and the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine as features befitting the luxury SUV’s high-performance variant.
Working off this information, our rendering shows the 2024 Cadillac Escalade Sport with the headlights moved down to the front bumper. The headlights are positioned just inside the long vertical daylight running light strip, echoing the design used on the Cadillac Lyriq.
Additionally, we’ve added several other Escalade-V styling cues in our 2024 Cadillac Escalade Sport’s front end. These include an aggressive front fascia and bumper design, lower bumper trim, and the grille design and grille mesh in our rendering.
While this is only guesswork, the thick vinyl camo wrapping the front end of the 2024 Cadillac Escalade when our spy photographers snapped it road testing in April 2022 confirms that area of the vehicle is likely to be heavily reworked. Similar lighting signatures were also partially visible on the prototype of the extended wheelbase 2024 Cadillac Escalade ESV, though the front fascia was once again hidden behind camo.
Along with the changes we’re envisioning here, the 2024 Cadillac Escalade will be getting a lineup of other new or updated features. Among these, interior spy shots hint at a possible new infotainment screen. A new ledge on the dash and repositioning of the transmission shift lever might be changes intended to free up space for a bigger screen.
GM Authority has exclusively learned start of regular production (SORP) for the 2024 Cadillac Escalade is scheduled for November 2023.
Currently it is expected that two of the three current powertrains will move forward to the 2024 Cadillac Escalade unchanged. These include the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 developing 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque.
Meanwhile, the optional 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax – rated at 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque – is expected to be replaced by the updated 3.0L I6 LZ0 Duramax engine producing 305 horses and 495 pound-feet of torque. All engine options are paired with the GM 10-speed automatic transmission.
Under the body panels,, the Escalade relies on the GM T1 platform that underpins all GM full-size SUVs. Production of the 2024 Cadillac Escalade will take place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

I saw the top rendering of the Lade by the beach last year. Another rendering was done with it as a van.
This doesn’t go far enough. Spy shots have shown vertically oriented primary headlamps.
A seperate photo shows that the Horizontal lights on the camouflaged Escalade will remain.
DRL only
How can they possibly refresh that interior? Over the last 10+ years, it always was a bigger or better screen. I think that vehicle has hit peak screen.
If I had to guess they are probably going to do something similar to the Celestiq screen in the Escalade.
No Headlights ?
Blinding LED strip i guess
Ok now do the Yukon! I’m dying to see the 2024 refresh.
I know it’s been raised becase of the independent back end but it just looks too bloated and or top heavy.
The last Gen Escalade built off the previous gen nicely but this exterior styling isn’t quite as athletic or distinctive…too big.
I’ve ridden in the new one and it’s of course night and day, just if they could nail the exterior down a bit more it would be fantastic.
