We Render A Potential GMC Canyon Denali Ultimate

First hitting the scene with the fully refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra 1500, the new Denali Ultimate trim level represents the GMC brand’s range-topping luxury models, slotting above the “regular” Denali with sumptuous cabin appointments and unique styling touches for elevated curb appeal. Notably, the all-new 2023 GMC Canyon Denali does not offer a Canyon Denali Ultimate variant. As such, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to render exactly that.

Before we get into this, it bears mentioning that, for now at least, GM has yet to share any plans to offer a new GMC Canyon Denali Ultimate. Nevertheless, it’s an interesting idea that’s still worth exploring.

Following a debut on the refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra 1500, the Denali Ultimate trim level was later applied to the GMC Yukon SUV for the 2023 model year, and then again with the refreshed 2024 GMC Sierra HD. With that in mind, the formula for this new range-topper looks to be pretty straightforward.

We started with the third-gen 2023 GMC Canyon Denali, then applied Vader Chrome accenting around the exterior. Vader Chrome trim finish is unique to GMC’s Denali Ultimate lineup, and enhances the exterior with an elegant new look. The finish was added to the grille and the GMC logo on the grille. In the rear, more Vader Chrome was applied to the GMC badge on the tailgate.

The upgrades continue in the corners, where our GMC Canyon Denali Ultimate rendering rolls on a set of 22-inch 6-spoke Low Gloss Black wheels with machined accents (RPO code SEV). The rear end also shows off the six-way GMC MultiPro tailgate. Although we didn’t render the interior, you can expect high-end materials like full-grain Alpine Umber leather upholstery and open-pore Paldao wood trim.

As a reminder, the third-generation 2023 GMC Canyon is equipped as standard with the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, which is rated at 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. Under the body is the updated GMT 31XX platform, while production takes place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

    1. They will sell every single one that they will build across the four normal trims, and this ultimate if they built it, too.

  3. When are they shipping Canyons to dealership. Gm is sure dragging there feet. They will be a year old before they it the lots. Did they up grade the seats??? I ordered a GMC Canyon at4. Don’t hear to much on it. Dealer tells me it could be here by end of month. But there is no guarantee wish I could fine something out.

    1. For real – it seems like 1000s of trucks are just sitting there – since January or February – built and just sitting. I hear EPA ratings were an issue but that appears to be resolved. Several websites claim trucks started shipping in March. I don’t think that is true. And, anyone at GMC seems to somehow not know ANYTHING about it. I’m getting skeptical that something is up and even more so when I can’t get any answers at all. These things need to ship TODAY or GM needs to clarify what’s going on.

  5. Those wheels are atrocious. Nice way to add even more cost to a truck that is grossly overpriced to start with.
