General Motors unveiled the refreshed 2024 Chevy Trailblazer this past February, pulling the sheets on a wealth of updates and changes, including revised exterior styling. Now, we’re taking a closer look at the 2024 Chevy Trailblazer with the following exclusive GM Authority exterior tour and walkaround video.
Hosted by GM Authority Executive Editor Alex Luft, the video is about five-and-a-half minutes long and highlights many of the important exterior and styling features of the 2024 Chevy Trailblazer.
The model featured in the video is an example of the Activ trim level, which sits at the top of the 2024 Chevy Trailblazer trim level hierarchy and offers an off-roader flavoring for the crossover. The exterior is covered in an eye-searing shade of paint dubbed Nitro Yellow Metallic, which is matched with two-tone white accents for the roof and sideview mirror caps.
Compared to the pre-refresh model years, the refreshed 2024 Chevy Trailblazer presents an updated front fascia characterized by new lighting, with thin upper daytime running lights that underline the hood, as well as rounded forward-facing lighting placed lower in the sides of the fascia. The grille was also updated, as was the lower fascia treatment.
Viewed from the profile, we see a sort of floating roof treatment around the C-pillar that adds a black dividing trim bit between the body and two-toned roof.
The rear end incorporates new taillight graphics, with the housings wrapping around into the rear fenders. The lower fascia was also refreshed for the 2024 model year.

As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Trailblazer is equipped with the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine as standard, while the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T engine is optional. Both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are available. The GM VSS-F platform provides the underpinnings, while production of U.S.-bound units takes place at the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea.

I wonder how smooth these 3 cylinder engines are.
These motors truly feel refined. It is paired well to the vehicle. Drive one and you will be pleasantly surprised. People give them a reputation without even experiencing the product simply because 3 cylinders are not the status quo.
The 3 cyl paired with the CVT is remarkably smooth and actually kinda fun to drive. Plenty of pep for in-town driving. It’s my oldest’s car, so no highway time in it but imagine it would do fine except perhaps in windy conditions. The light weight helps with the throttle response and handling but I imagine it could be problematic on the interstate in weather or against tractor-trailer buffeting.
That mustard color just isn’t appealing at all with white top. Little bit better but I think bronco sport is still much more appealing .
I agree with your argument on the color, but I do not like the look of the small Bronco…the Nitro Yellow is starting to grow on me, but it does not look good with the white roof and mirror caps, it should be body color IMO. And this is coming from someone who had a Ford Flex with a white roof…
The refresh looks pretty good.
I like this it looks less cartoonish then the old models design… The grill kind of looks like an equinox grill I don’t like the yellow color though. This should sel pretty well we’ll see and this does not compare to a bronco just on price alone it is much cheaper… Do your research be spewing out garbage. I think I will test drive one.
It’s direct competitor to bronco sport . Not the bronco …. Literally in the same segment .
Ford vs Chevy no the Equinox based on size and price alone is more a Bronco sport competitor. Besides this is much better looking then that butt ugly bronco sport Ford must have gotten a deal on grey plastic that covers most of it… I would not even wast my time Chevy is better anyway! 👍👍
Both the Trailblazer and Encore GX forums are full of owners having issues. Most common problems are very early transmission failure, engine/turbo problems, and brake squeal (that GM says is normal for this platform.) That’s enough to keep me far away from either a Trailblazer or Encore GX. Styling and pricing may be attractive, but it’s just not worth the risk based on what owners are reporting online. Definitely do research before buying…
Nice looking but appears to be underpowered as in all Chevy small SUV’s.
I have a 2023 RS and I wouldn’t recommend buying this vehicle. Currently in the shop (only had it 3 months) for an infotainment system that has increasingly been freezing up, and the jerking forward motion when driving off after shifting from reverse to drive is supposedly due to the adaptive transmission, but my dad just bought a 23 1500 Silverado with an adaptive transmission and it does not jerk forward violently in the same situation. This jerking issue is also common on 21 and 22 models of the Trailblazer. Can also confirm it handles terribly in wind speeds above 10mph, especially on the highway. Drives worse than my 14 camaro with almost 150k miles and the 01 Silverado my dad just let go of for the new truck. Find yourself a different vehicle.
