As GM Authority reported over two years ago, Hooker BlackHeart offers a stainless steel cat-back exhaust for owners looking to open up their 2020-2023 Corvette C8 Stingray. Now, Hooker BlackHeart has released a new version of the same exhaust for customers looking for a different aesthetic.
The new Hooker BlackHeart cat-back exhaust system for the C8 Corvette Stingray is also made of 304 stainless steel, and includes the same straight-through muffler design that allows the Vette to express its V8 rumble. However, what makes this new system different are the exhaust tips, as Hooker BlackHeart now offers black ceramic tips.
Additional features include exhaust valves and simulators that reuse the factory valve actuators, mandrel-bent three-inch tubing, 2.5-inch muffler tubing, and the aforementioned four-inch black exhaust tips.
Hooker BlackHeart claims that this system will hook right up to the factory exhaust location, and offers upwards of 10 horsepower and 10 pound-feet of torque over the factory setup.
Each kit includes all the necessary hardware required for installation, as well as a manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty. And because it doesn’t touch the factory catalytic converters, this cat-back system is also emissions-legal.
For any prospective customers looking to get their hands on one, this system goes for $1,689.95. It’s worth noting that this aftermarket exhaust setup is not compatible with General Motors’ optional Performance Exhaust (RPO code NPP) system.
As a reminder, the C8 Stingray is equipped with the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine, which is rated at 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, or 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque with the factory performance exhaust system. Output is routed to via the GM eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Under the skin, all C8 Corvette variants ride on the GM Y2 platform, while production takes place exclusively at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

How can a straight piped C8 exhaust system make less hp/tq than most of the other aftermarket exhaust systems with mufflers?
LOVE THAT SOUND!!!
HEY HOOKER COMPANY…,
The Two Guys Garage Cable TV Show is filmed in my neighborhood, please feel free to consider using my 2022 C8 Mildly Customed Convertible Corvette on their Cable Show as a how to segment for this exhaust install and let me keep the exhaust so I can show it off on the Streets and at Car Shows I attend. :0 )
Sounds nearly the same but I prefer the original.
