The 2023 Chevy Colorado and 2023 GMC Canyon introduce brand-new third generations for both nameplates, with the latter dropping cover in August of 2022, and the former dropping cover in July of 2022. Since then, a multitude of customers have placed orders for the new midsize pickup trucks, and are currently awaiting delivery. However, many have been waiting weeks, sometimes months, leading them to ask – what’s going on with 2023 Chevy Colorado and 2023 GMC Canyon shipments?
We here at GM Authority have been inundated by hundreds of queries asking that very question.
“My 2023 Colorado was built five weeks ago,” says GM Authority reader Jim B. “Any idea on average delivery to dealer after built?”
“That looks fun and all, but will GM ever ship them?” asks GM Authority reader Nick R. in response to our off-road AT4X video. “Mine’s been built but not shipped for almost seven weeks now.”
“Thousands of 2023 Colorados and Canyons are still sitting at the Wentzville factory, with no explanation why,” states GM Authority reader Bobby B. “A tent has been seen built in the factory, which has previously been used when built vehicles needed to be repaired.”
Clearly, many customers are confused and a bit frustrated. After all, the start of regular production (SORP) began at the GM Wentvzille facility this past January, so what gives?
To find out, we reached out to General Motors directly.
“Production of GM’s midsize pickup trucks is well underway and we are shipping to dealers every day,” says the Director of Chevy Truck Communications, Shad Balch, in an email with GM Authority. “During launch, it is a common practice for us to temporarily build and hold vehicles to ensure quality before shipping to dealers. We know our customers are excited to get their new trucks. We are working to deliver them as quickly as possible.”
Unfortunately, existing GM processes and systems don’t quite cut it when it comes to communicating important information (like estimated vehicle delivery time) to customers. In fact, we think that GM vehicle tracking has been and continues to be a major problem, and could undergo a serious rethink and overhaul. To that end, even a general window of time when a vehicle will arrive at a dealer would go a long way toward helping customers plan for the purchase.
On the other hand, it’s worth noting that shipping a vehicle is a complex process that’s as resource as it is time intensive. From train cars to semi trucks and trailers, along with qualified personnel to operate all safely and securely, transporting trucks with curb weights in the several thousand pound range is far from the same as transporting smartphones, tablets, or laptops. To that end, GM is competing for these limited resources with other companies, both in and outside of the automotive industry, so some patience is certainly called for.
For the time being, it looks as though customers waiting for their new 2023 Chevy Colorado or 2023 GMC Canyon will have to continue to wait as GM ramps up deliveries. We’ll keep an eye on things to see how they develop, but in the meantime, subscribe to GM Authority for more Chevy Colorado news, GMC Canyon news, Chevy news, GMC news, GM business news, and around-the-clock GM news coverage.

Article doesn’t actually answer any questions.
Does it not answer ANY questions, or does it not answer YOUR questions?
Clearly GM are shipping the trucks, dispelling notions or rumors that no shipping is taking place.
They are not shipping any 4wd units, so no Denali Canyons. Only 2wd Elevations
As of Oct 15 2023 the Canyon I ordered is still “in transit”. Ordered in April. Built in July, in transit since the middle of August. Strike is a non issue. as the carriers are not participating. As a GM retiree who worked in shipping for a long time, GM knows exactly where everything is. They demand that info from suppliers. They supply that info to assembly plants. Everything is bar or qr coded and tracked to the point that they know where it sits on a truck/rail (loaded first row, 4th row, etc. ) The problem is not a lack of info for GM. The problem is an unwillingness to share that info with dealers/customers. And that is bad for customer relations. Customers abandoning sales agreements due to slow delivery is not an indication of over exicted customers. But rather it indicates frustration and disappointment in the people trying to buy your product. Alarm bells should be sounding.
Ordered my AT4 last December and it was built the first week of February. The truck is showing as “In Transit”. The dealer and I have made many attempts through different channels to get a more detailed status without any success. You are correct about the alarm bells.
I finally got mine and not impressed. It has horribly gas mileage, phone charger does not work and gm is clueless how to fix it. I would cancel my order and order the 2024 Toyota I-max Tocoma
I ordered a 2023 Chevrolet Colorado trail boss in February. It was built on March 25th. It is currently November 7th and I still do not have my truck. My dealership and sales consultant have never seen so many delays on shipping a vehicle. I have contacted customer service multiple times with zero help provided. Are they ever going to ship my vehicle? Have GMC stopped shipping vehicles to Atlantic Canada? My vehicle has been sitting in a parking lot for eight months now. Everything is probably seized on the truck by now.
This is just a fluff piece to cover for GM. I just read another article saying there are 20,000 Colorados and Canyons setting in Wentzville waiting on chips. They closed the plant for 2 weeks the end of March and will again the end of May because of no chips.
Please pass on the reference that suggests 20,000 units sitting in Wentzvile awaiting chips. GM has said nothing credible to date, so I’m curious for anything that makes sense. The story of 3200 hails damaged units made sense, and so does this.
I sold my Silverado and my C7 when I put a down payment on a already-built Colorado in mid-March. I’m tired of borrowing cars and rather disgusted to think my next new vehicle has been sitting in the weather for 3 months. Thanks.
Yeah, ocnblu, the article doesn’t actually say what’s going on. What is the big tent for? Why couldn’t the shipping channels used for the prior version of the colorado be used for the current one? Why can’t GM communicate any information on individual trucks? Thx to the author for acknowledging our pain. However, the corporate speak from GM is nonsense as I have ordered several vehicles (new models, even) from other companies that allowed tracking at every stage of production and delivery. This will be my first and last GM vehicle, assuming I ever receive it before having to buy something else.
Yeah, I don’t buy the whole shipping issues excuse. If this were a brand new company & shipping out vehicles for the first time ever I would understand taking more time to iron out the kinks. But this is a multi billion dollar company that’s been building & shipping vehicles for decades. They’ve had plenty of time & money to perfect the process. It just doesn’t make any sense.
Thank you to GM Authority, Mr. Lopez and Mr. Luft for looking into and reporting on this. This is great journalism and there isn’t enough of it these days.
I completely agree with Mr. Luft’s position that GM has to get better at keeping order holders informed of the progress and general shipping/delivery timeframe. I’m in a situation where I need to give my current vehicle to a relative by the end of May. My plan was to have my current vehicle and my new Canyon for a couple of months before giving up my current one… but at this point, I’m going to be lucky to even have a ride by then. Here’s to hoping I get it the Canyon AT4 sooner rather than later.
GM had same issue last year. Our 22 Colorado was built 3/31/22 and arrived at dealership 6/25. No one knew what caused the delay
Maybe the email address for Mr. Balch should be distributed so the “customers” can express their concerns directly as they are not keeping us informed via the dealers!! Blowing up his inbox might get better answers to those of us who have waited way too long…
I ordered my 2023 Glacier Blue Metallic Colorado January 17, 10 days before production began with a $1,000 deposit to my dealer. May 18 I finally received the “build #” with the hope that we were getting closer… late June, dealer still had no updates! Went to the beach 4 hours away, saw a GBM Colorado – it had almost everything I “ordered” plus a few other items! BOUGHT IT July 7… they still “owe” me some “supplier delayed” items, but I have my truck! Now, waiting for my local dealer to return my deposit! We’ll see how long that takes plus the the “owed items”. Good luck everyone!!
While I appreciate the reporting, I find it strange that GM haven’t shared more details in their response… like how many they are shipping a day or what the shipment sequence is. It’s almost like they’re hiding something… but who knows?
I certainly enjoy all of the updates and pay particular attention to the 2023 Colorado. Just read Sunday’s update on shipments (or, lack thereof) and see that several buyers know their truck has been built… I ordered mine January 17, production started January 24, so 3 months have passed. HOW do I find out if it’s in production?
Thanks…
Bob
Alex, here’s the problem. I am certainly no expert on production and delivery of motor vehicles. However, this seems to be unprecedented. I do not ever recall a situation where thousands of vehicles are sitting at a production plant without being shipped. No, it is no easy task to do so, but look at other vehicles, whether GM, Ford etc. that seem to have no delivery problems, how is that any different from what is going on with these two trucks?
I don’t agree with you on that- my Silverado was shipped from Mexico to San Francisco and sat there for 6 weeks before it was delivered to San Diego. Lucky for me, it was delivered to me at the end of February at 2.99% interest.
This happened in 2021 and 2022 as well. There were tens of thousands of built trucks sitting in overflow lots waiting for “chips”.
Corporate speak by the GM guy and pointless assumptions by GM Authority guy. What did we learn from the article and video? Nothing concrete for sure. I’d rather them say “we have delivery truck and driver shortages ” or “had a problem with (fill in the blank) during production “. But we got nothing. 2024 Toyota Tacoma not too far away.
Rabble rabble rabble from shallo hal? I learned that they are shipping the trucks and to just be patient.
Since you brought up Tacoma, it first needs to be announced and then it needs to be put into production. The first units probably won’t ship until the very end of this year, and I don’t have much hope that they’ll be able to fill the orders any faster than GM can with the Colorado or Canyon. And something tells me that the the Tacoma as a product will be a let down compared to what GM has to offer.
They are not shipping any 4wd units, so no Denali Canyons. Only 2wd Elevations, so its not a shipping company issue, its a product issue, hence the big tent!
Jorge Jorge….All you know is that they are shipping….tell us WHY they are delayed and WHY thousands are sitting on the factory lot. You don’t know. My point is that GM stands to lose paying customers when they walk away from their orders. And Toyota spanks GM on mid-size truck sales over and over again. If Toyota can deliver a truck by year end (we both are speculating here) it would be worth the wait at this point.
But Hal, is it not also speculation on your part that people will walk away from orders? From everything I have seen, people really want the Colorado and canyon, and they are willing to wait.
Is it not also speculation on your part that something is delayed? It seems the issue is logistics as Alex explained, and shipping these in big numbers is no easy task.
I have a feeling that the new gm models will end up being much better than the new taco. When gm tries, it typically makes much better vehicles than Toyota… and GM really tried with these.
Toyota sells a good amount of Tacos, sure… but with one gen, gm caught up by about 40%. How much longer will it be until gm does another 40% leap? Not long me thinks.
Whether it’s a shipping issue or a chip issue or a hailstorm issue or gremlins, the customer is telling GM that the vehicles are not arriving in a timely manner. And yet the best the company is offering is silence. Or PR gobbledygook that makes it worse. Shipping should be the least complicated part of building a truck. And yet GM comes off arrogant, condescending and smug by not honestly communicating the problem. An absence of information leads to speculation and confusion. Buying a vehicle should be a good experience and yet, for me, GM has sucked the life out of it. I just want the chore to be over.
Not only is there a shipping issue and whatever is going on in that tent, but the first round of ZR2s and the AT4Xs were scheduled to start production on 4/10 and they still haven’t built one yet and no reason why. What gives?
Well, I would have to think they’ve got so many damn vehicles sitting on the lot they don’t have room to start a production of another model. What a joke I mean they have had almost a year since they unveiled this thing and it still is going on they still have no idea.
Jorge. It is not speculation that they are delayed. Months from build date and no delivery with tons sitting on the lots is delayed. I know of 2 people that asked for their deposit back. I hope they are better because I ordered a Denali. Been built since early February. Nobody knows where it is. Toyota see the new GM models and will respond accordingly. I hope you are right on the GM models.
What a joke of a video. We already know most of this and we really didn’t get any answers other than gm and the shippers eh, can’t quite seem to get it together.
Got my at4 3 weeks ago. Absolutely love it!!!
This video doesn’t explain much except trucks aren’t the size of smartphones and are more difficult to ship. DUH! He states shipping vehicles, which by the way is a $1,495 destination freight charge, is a big deal. Really? What the heck is he talking about. Car manufacturers have been shipping vehicles for over a hundred years. Pretty sure they know how by now. Or in the case of GM, should know by now.Wake up and smell the coffee Alex. GM blew this rollout,, period. Holding trucks to ensure the quality for their customers? My Colorado must have a ton of “Quality issues” for them to be holding it for 5 weeks after production and still no word on delivery. And, I live 40 miles from the plant. If I didn’t have 4 months invested in waiting, I would get my $!,000 deposit back and wait to see what the ‘24 Ranger and ‘24 Toyota look like. Betting they know how to ship vehicles in a timely fashion. Oh and if you’re listening GM, thanks for being so transparent about this debacle and all the helpful communication to your Colorado/Canyon customers. Sure puts my mind as ease.
I agree. The lack of communication has been unbelievable. I truly am dumbfounded by this and the sad part is when you get with your dealer they’re pissed off they don’t give you any information. You call GM directly they give you no information and they treat you like you’re bothering them I mean holy smokes whatever happened to customer service it’s gone and it’s just not with car dealers. It’s everywhere ever since Covid and no poor service is acceptable because of Covid wow
Went down and got my deposit back 2023 colorado I ordered what a waste of time with GM. What a bunch of pysco babble with delays and shipping.
Let them all get on dealer lots and sit forever now. Gonna by a skateboard now bye bye Gm.
“During launch, it is a common practice for us to temporarily build and hold vehicles to ensure quality before shipping to dealers” holding some makes sense, but holding thousands and thousands? seems like a puff answer from GM. None of this explains the lack of communication to dealers and customers.
Exactly Jim.
The key information lacking in the article is lacking is WHY the delay, which might be something other than typical logistics. If there is a serious quality issue with thousands of trucks, we as customers with orders are entitled to know what that issue is and when it will be resolved. I am 100% sure Chevy knows why the trucks are sitting there, and they refuse to communicate because they don’t want to lose orders. If they have multiple issues with thousands of trucks, I would want to know that too.
I submitted my order on day 1 when the book opened, and my truck was one of the first made. Many months later I am having to rent a truck and I still don’t have a single piece of news from GM. I get that some are shipping, but that is no help to me personally. In the mean time I am having an extended test drive of the competition and this experience has made me angry and very, very unlikely to ever deal with GM again. Best of luck to everyone.
This response is exactly what 98% of those who have ordered a truck are feeling. Well said! I have been a GM guy my whole life, I absolutely love GM…but this is frustrating. I ordered my truck in December. My patience might last 30 more days….but it will be difficult.
The problem is gm has finally realized the transmission is junk. There will be a recall and the 10 spd will be going into all future trucks. I’ll wait for the 10 spd and a long bed.
It seems GM lost one of the only things that make it relevant on the market today: the ability of producing and shipping cars in high volumes. Even when they produce nice engineering machines like the Hummer, the Lyriq and the Colorado…
Thank you for posting this article. Sure, I’m just as anxious as everyone else. And it’s easy to poke holes in anything they say (which is exactly why they don’t say much).
I’m patient. Truck will get here when it gets here. I’d rather they take their time and do it right than screw the pooch rushing it. A bit more information would be useful if course (I can lock in a decent rate but not knowing when it will be here doesn’t allow me to). Time will tell if my patience will pay off.
GM could use a bit of a lesson on PR though. Of all things I see ‘wrong’, that’s the biggest. Logistic delays are normal these days…I get it (I have to move product from the UK to the US…it really is a nightmare so they get some leeway there). Scaling that up to moving 1000’s of trucks is hard…but it’s not hard to keep customers in the loop. Just tell the truth. We aren’t kids 🙂
I’ll be patient though. Can’t control any of their processes after all.
I am one of the fortunate ones. My 2023 Canyon Denali was delivered 4/25/2023. I have less than 100 miles on it, but my initial driving impression is that it is much improved over the second generation trucks, of which I have owned two. For all of those that are frustrated waiting for your truck, it will be worth the wait.
The AT4 I ordered in mid-December was built on 2/6/2023. I have received a couple of emails stating that there is no update. Read on this forum that they could not ship due to lack of EPA certification. Read on another forum that there are quality issues that need to be resolved. I go to the GMC website and see that many Canyons are listed as “In Transit” but mine is not listed under my dealer. I talked to my salesman and he can only confirm that they do not have a ship date. I logon to mygmc and ask the chatbot about my order status. It states that the truck is built but I need to talk to my dealer about shipping status. Patience is a virtue but only to the point that one is not being deliberately deceived.
Do sold orders appear in gm’s inventory page as “in transit”? Or are they “invisible” due to being sold units?
On this and other forums several people have stated that they could see their order on the GMC website listed under their dealer. I am not sure this applies to all orders as it may depend on how the dealer enters it. Good question, I am going to check with the dealer tomorrow.
yeah, it’s still visible regardless of it already being sold or not. We get ton’s of inquires online about pre-sold vehicles that are “in-transit”. They just pop up on the website regardless.
Dear Shad,
Nice corporate BS response. Please get your act together. You’ve never had this problem in the past.
You clearly haven’t been in the new car market for the past 3 years. The shipping industry has huge shortages of truck drivers.
Bill R. When did you order your Denali and what notifications did you get from the factory and/or dealer?
Thank you.
I ordered mine Danali March 15
Only word been built
Dealer doesn’t know what is going on either
But was told about hail on Mother’s Day
Checking on it
May be 2 -3 more weeks
White tent= Hail damage. Severe thunderstorms in area of factory last month.
Total BS. No answers here.
This guy thinks customers are stupid.
Supply chain issues coupled with labor issues, coupled with the inherent problems of a new vehicle launch, paired with GM’s lack of communication to customers has all lead us to this. If GM holds vehicles for quality validation is that a bad thing ? Wouldnt people complain even louder if they didnt try to make sure the vehicles were 100% ?
Its a complex world that hasnt been made easier by events in the last few years. GM’s supply chain issues continue to be a major problem.
I think if GM really wants more people to order their vehicle instead of buying off the lot they are going to have to get a lot better at communicating to their customers. Once there is an information void people will fill it with all sorts of nonsense.
Ordered a 2021 GMC Canyon 03/15/2021, took delivery from dealership 12/09/2021, I doubt anyone is working on a solution as the delivery issue remains 2 years later.
I understand the shipping delays but open communication from GM to consumer would go a long way. I ordered my Canyon in late January 2023 got a couple of updates and my dealer even said it will move fast now but then 3 weeks later no updates. I called my dealer and they told me it’s setting in a lot on hold in Wentzville. I start checking the GMC website to see what dealers have and my truck comes up on the website for my dealer saying it has a delivery date of 8/4/23. but other dealers in the area have trucks coming in at different times in May. I would just like someone to tell me why the big delay parts, shipping the time frame when orders are placed. Any answer would be great.
Calling.. “BS!” Really? GM’s been shipping big square boxes for over 100 – one hundred -YEARS. Seems to be plenty of (EVEN BIGGER) full side trucks showing up on dealers lots, but no miss-sized.. yup, calling BS.. This post did absolutely nothing to instill any degree of confidence that I’ll ever see it, by the end of summer!! And he’s that quandary.. cancel my 23 order and wait on an actual 24, but also assume that GM will keep raising the price – on something they can’t seem to F’ing DELIVER. AGAIN . “total BS!”
WORST G.M. roll out EVER !
Ordered my 23’ Canyon Denali on 12/17/22.
Received an (order) number from GM mid January.
Still no truck, and salesman said he doesn’t have a clue when I may get it. Very disappointing, frustrating, and ridiculous….
Told him to keep the truck….I’ll spend my money with one of their competitors.
I believe Mary B. should be standing in the unemployment line over this fiasco. Instead…., I’m guessing she will be receiving “another” of her multi million dollar bonus checks.
Rumor is that a recent hailstorm damaged many of the trucks. Hence the tents to help keep vehicles out of public view, PDR work to every vehicle and the delay.
According to “boots on the ground” (someone I know locally) that has a vested interest in getting his truck delivered, there has been “zero hail any larger than pea size reported in the last 2 months”. The local rumor is a large portion of the trucks built have to be re-flashed.
What does “re-flash” mean or entail? Guessing it’s a software issue?? Chips out-of-sync???
My guess, as well, but just a guess. It apparently doesn’t affect them all, as my truck was delivered last Tuesday
2wd elevation?
I ordered my Canyon on 2/2/23 and it finished production on 2/28/23. All my dealer can see in late April is the truck has moved from one lot to another at the plant. GMC communicates nothing to the dealer or the customer, after starting with regular updates after posting the order. Once the email came saying production had finished, it’s been radio-silence. I’m seriously thinking of waiting until 2024, as something is up here and I don’t want some factory flawed first edition. You know, I can track a $4 tube of toothpaste ordered on Amazon with more ease than a $49k AT4. Jeez.
In other words, you don’t know why!
Someone on this site must know a employee or two working for gm in Missouri.. Help us get the Inside scoop on what is really going on please and thank you!
It seems no one knows about corporate secrets. Most companies have this broad term policy that discussions & information of manufacturing or planning issues are not to be discussed outside of the business. All information must be channeled through the proper channels such as marketing and sales. So as some stated that there are a lot of trucks sitting outside after build, the GM spokesman was very care of what he stated. The elated to quality control issues. Essentially you do not want the competition to know.
Other than the C8. Corvette, GM and others were never set up for direct customer contact. It’s why sales through dealers are necessary. The dealers is the buffer zone. GM selling around 2 million vehicles a year would be a huge and costly to provide all information many of us would expect.
What George said. Its likely that there are people that have a portion of the information but cannot divulge it. GM has always kept their inner workings to themselves and no one wants to risk being fired because some folks on the internet wanted information.
I will say that supply chains issues are likely going to get worse before they get better. The area I live in is saturated with suppliers and they are all scraping for employees.
Gee, after a decades of building and shipping vehicles you would think gm would have figured it out by now. Good work, Mary.
Suggest GM use their own trucks(Tractor-trailer) right off the assembly line and deliver the vehicles themselves! They’re going to charge the customers for freight anyway.
They havent built class 8 trucks since the 80’s.
Alex, thank you for trying to address this thorny issue but, stop making up excuses for GM please. They have a problem here with this rollout, it is Awful .
GM better give these new owners a Rebate! for waiting so long..
The excuse that shipping vehicles is a complex process just doesn’t hold water. I order a 2023 Porsche Macan that was completed with a week of the Trail Boss I ordered. The Porsche has been here for five weeks with a tracking app to keep me informed all along the way. The dealer info simply shows delayed. I can’t believe that shipping in the US is more complicated than shipping from German. Makes me wonder if the CEO in cutting Mangement let the logistics people go.
I have been considering if I should order the Z71 that I would like. This has been going on for so long that it is hard to believe. The local dealers all have multiple Colorado’s in transit and they have been in transit for weeks and weeks. When I look at Autotrader it shows the same thing. Dealers stock everywhere seems to be in transit. This has to be a major problem because it is a major problem for GM. Some heads will surely roll if they haven’t already. So………….I will continue to wait and wonder and will not order until I can sit in one and test drive one. I am sure there are plenty of potential customers who are waiting instead of putting their money down. Mary is more than likely spending her time on EV’s that no one wants. Just think, we could be waiting hours and hours for every charge instead of a few minutes for a tank of gas.
I am with you there on waiting to order until I can drive one. With all the trouble they are having that may be 2024.
I think those that have said “hail damage” with regard to the tent are correct. I’ve worked in auto bodyshops for 30 years and it should have dawned on me. PDR is a wunnerful thing for repairs to vehicles already in a customer’s possession, but I still would not want a brand new truck that has had PDR work. This is a hard one to pin blame on gm if true, but it needs to be disclosed to the customers who ordered a truck. Let the customer see the truck when it lands at the dealership and allow the customer to have the right of first refusal. gm should have insurance for this type of thing, I would think.
I hope it’s not hail damage as I am not trained to spot reworked cars…if that is indeed what happened.
Any tips on spotting it?
Well if it is not done perfectly you can see spots in the metal here and there that look like “cauliflower” or “cottage cheese”. Also, if there is no clear access to the damage, access holes may need to be drilled, for example, on the door jamb or lock pillar. They will then be covered with plastic or rubber plugs at the drill site.
Thank you!
Going to go over it with a fine tooth comb 🙂
For those of you thinking about buying/ordering one , if you don’t need a truck right away, wait for the new Tacoma. You’ll be better off.
They are/were sitting at an empty rock quarry about 10 miles from the plant while the EPA certification was approved. Now they have a big back log of trucks and they are trying ship them.
I think it’s very likely that there is a widespread quality issue that they aren’t quite sure how to approach. It probably involves replacement parts that are difficult to source in a timely manner. I feel for everyone who ordered one that is stuck in limbo.
Agreed, hence why not seeing many or any 4wd units
Pretty condescending to act like people paying $45k for a truck, and looking for reasonable communicated expectations on why it hasnt shipped after 3 months of being produced and when it should arrive, is being equated to a need for “instant gratification”. Get off your high horse.
I suspect the issue is the lack of a critical part or parts that a dealer can’t complete with installation and must be done at the plant. Stating that the trucks are being held back for “quality” purposes is consistent with a supply issue. I spoke with a dealer last week and was told that his GM rep said they were waiting on bed liners. That may be true, but it’s also likely they’re waiting on electronic components, particularly ones that require computer chips. I drove past the GM plant in Lansing, MI last September and they had an overabundance of cars parked waiting on parts before they could ship. This is not unusual the last couple of years in the automotive industry that depends on an uninterrupted flow of parts shipped by hundreds their Tier 1 suppliers. They can build 99.9% of a vehicle on the assembly line, but can’t ship until 100% of the parts are installed. Like many others, I hope GM gets this straightened out soon.
I ordered my 2023 Canyon Denali 12/2/2022 and it was completed on 2/7/2023. I have a VIN and window sticker. I had to turn in my leased car in March. So luckily I was able to borrow a car from a family member. Just like many of the people here in the same position, what is frustrating is that they can’t run your VIN to let you know when it will arrive at the dealer. UPS and FED EXPRESS can tell you where a package is with a weigh bill number on a $10 shipment, but GM can’t tell you where a $50K (BTW my dealer still doesn’t know my price) vehicle is in the supply chain. Called my dealer per the GMC robots on Chat’s advice since February, and he doesn’t have any information, so Chat is basically useless. They sent me the exact same message 10 times over the past 3 months. Is the the best GM can provide their customers? First time GMC buyer, love the product, but not impressed here at all with their logistics/customer service/communication with customers..
My father retired from GM after working there for 37 years. I remember him saying it usually took 2 to 4 weeks to complete a model year ‘change-over’ at plants, and that usually took place in mid-July thru mid-August. He also said that new ‘generation change-over’ at plants usually took 1 – 2 months, and happened beginning in July. GM is an old company and like the rest of the industry tries to follow tradition.
With that said, from what I’ve read, it took longer to complete the new ‘generation change-over’ at plant, resulting at least a month delay in the start-up of manufacturing the new Colorado and Canyon’s. Add chip and part shortages (first warning on the Build & Price site), it just makes the delay problem worse. I don’t think they stopped production on units that had ‘missing chips’ or ‘parts’, they built them and just parked them out on lots until the parts came in (big white tents). They also dropped the ball with the EPA. They probably thought that because the engine was used in other GM trucks, it would fly through the EPA, but we’re talking about dealing with a government agency and administration that would rather not see gas-fueled vehicles on the roads.
I worked in shipping logistics before retiring, and pre-pandemic, shipping items via rails, by truck, or by ship ran like a greased wheel, but during the pandemic, many people retired or got out of the transportation industry because of the lack of work. As things started to return to normal (whatever that is going to be), manufacturing and the transportation industry has struggled to get back to normal. Rail and trucking companies are having a hard time hiring people to work on the rails and driving trucks.
If my speculations above are correct, GM owes it to their dealers, and more importantly, it’s customers to be upfront and honest about the problems they are having getting their products to the dealers and customers. If it is related to parts or accessories that weren’t or aren’t available, say so, if there is a software flash or firmware update that is needed, say so, or if it is the lack of people to load vehicles on rail cars, on trucks, or enough drivers to deliver vehicles, say so. Most people can accept honest reasons for delays, but they know when they are being talked down to with basic lies or excuses.
Being so late in the model year, I think I’ll waiting until the 2024 model year before I order my new Canyon. Hopefully by then they’ll have the supply, software, and delivery issues resolved by then.
I built and ordered a ZR2 at the end of December. I knew they were building the other platforms and they were going to begin building the ZR2s at the beginning of April, according to GM. I finally get a production date of April 24th, so on April 27th I went to the dealership to get a status update. They looked it up and my production date was pushed to May 29th. I asked why and they could not get an answer. So I got my order number and reached out to GM to ask why it was pushed out. They told me that I had to get the answer from my dealership. The dealership can’t get answers from GM, nor can I. This is ridiculous. How can they have a production date and then the week of production push it out another month???
I believe they are having trouble with the 4 cylinder block… running 80% scrap from an outside company called NEMAC…
if the shipping excuse were valid, then the article would be about all 2023 vehicles being delayed; and not just the Colorado/Canyon vehicles.
As of May 1 my three local dealers (one is a GMC, two Chevrolet)) have yet to receive the first one.
the EPA certifications seem to have been submitted late, then when they came off the assembly line… apparently there was no trucking contracts ready for shipping. Then the delay for the reflash.
It makes no business sense to produce product, then let it sit for weeks and weeks before they get into the hands of the actual sellers. You would think the manufacturer would want to recover their costs of producing a product ASAP.
I imagine someone at GM is not getting a bonus this year for Christmas.
Just got an email today that my truck has gone to the next step (whatever that is). Last I heard it was built, then held.
I’m checking with the dealer, but the previous email I received from GMC was when it was built. Hoping (probably against hope) this next step is the truck moving…
Fingers crossed.
Yep, after being somewhat persistent and nice…got the Advisor to confirm the truck is indeed moving.
How long it will take to get here is a different story, but it did move finally. Will see what the dealer can find out tomorrow.
Here’s what everybody who ordered a 2023 colorado should do. Get your deposit back today. When ever they get to dealerships let them sit there for 6 months to a year and then we can get a huge discount from the rediculus MSRP and crazy add on’s and crazy market adjustments. I got my deposit back a few days ago. Gm better get it together or go bankrupt this time and no taxpayer bailout this time. Gotta stick together on this Guys.
what a bunch of rubbish, other manufactures can handle the difficulties. GM is dysfunctional, fire the leadership.
beware of the phrase “in transit”.
GM has bastardized it to the point that “in transit” means many things… and also means nothing.
I ordered my Colorado “Trail Boss” in January and still don’t even have a production date.
To flash the transmission is to reprogram it slightly. It is actually the chips that are electrically programmable and called eproms. It usually affects shift points, torque, throttle, etc. Not a serious change and nothing mechanical. It can be done in minutes at the dealer but only if the manufacturer has come up with an authorized fix and sends it out to dealers. Sometimes it takes a couple tries to get it right. The 8speed is a solid transmission, but has had several bad habits. Don’t just badmouth the trans, get it to the dealer while it is under warranty. If owners get them to the dealers with good descriptive complaints and wait for a common authorized fix for that specific problem, they will be on the waiting list for the fix as soon as one comes out.
Blah blah…. Just a bunch of blah blah and making up excuses. I only seen a couple of 2023 Colorados that are at dealerships from what the some dealerships have posted on YouTube.
I placed my ordered back in February for a Z71 Colorado and it was built in April and now just sitting at the manufacture waiting to be delivered to the dealership..
I will be probably waiting until July or later to get it or when the 2024 models come out like many of us that placed orders.
If I could fly out to the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri and just pick it up from there and drive back home I would! I bet many of us would!
Come on GM, start shipping the trucks out!
I call BS on the statement “we are shipping to dealers every day,” from the Director of Chevy Truck Communications, Shad Balch. Using AutoTrader, I’ve searched for ‘23 Canyons and Colorado’s national wide. I’ve found thousands of posts for “Arriving Soon” and “In Transit”, but only a handful of ads with actual units with dealerships. Those few models were all 2WD base models.
This, of course, isn’t a full proof research process. But it did turn up over 7000 ads, but only the few that were actually on lots in dealership hands.
GM sent me multiple emails post-ordering of my Canyon, letting me know its progression right up to being produced…then radio silence! I’ve got a little advice to the communications team, don’t raise positive expectations in customers and then just disappear! Stupid marketing, but perhaps it fits with their “Welcome to Nowhere!”
I don’t know how or why, but the Canyon Denali that was built 2/24 was delivered to me 4/27. I think I might have the only one within 50 miles. So far, the truck is fantastic and GM needs to get these into people’s hands. This is coming from someone that has owned one gen 1 and two gen 2s
I was notified my Denali was on the move and I would be notified when it arrived at the dealer. That was two weeks ago and when I reached out to GM was told that it was still in Wentzville. I am very disappointed with the process.
As a follow up, looks like GMC wasn’t fibbing yesterday. Took a little prodding, but got them to let me know it shipped.
Had the dealer check this morning on their end…and much to their surprise they have indeed verified it’s moving with an expected delivery date of 5/18.
I ordered it 1/27. It was built by 4/3. And it’s finally left Wentzville. If it shows up exactly on the 18th I will be surprised but at least there is some positive developments. The dealer (who also deals with Chevy) was actually as surprised as I was getting the shipping info.
Lesson for GMC: no one cares about delivery if it is communicated effectively. Don’t leave folk in the dark as that’s when the rumors and apprehensions start flying.
I see the folks saying “when I reached out to GM” When I reach out they say, in essence, “I can’t tell you anything, you must communicate with the dealer “. So, how are some of you getting a response from GM? Let me know your method please. Thanks
It’s tricky.
They give you the canned response as you mentioned. And that’s all I was given until I got an email saying that the truck was at its ‘next step’ (gives a little chart, but no explanation of what the step was).
I brought that to the advisors attention (the email was indeed confusing as it contradicted what the dealer was reporting) and asked what was this ‘next step’. He took a while, but then confirmed it moved. Then the dealer checked this morning and that is when I was given an expected delivery date.
It was the email that did the trick. I wish I could share it here so you could see. But once I mentioned it was confusing, they were a bit more forthright with information.
I get it…launching a new vehicle is no small task. The logistics are mind boggling. However, simple communication isn’t that hard nor is it a bad thing (although I’m sure every quarter they fret it…don’t want to piss off Wall Street).
Definitely a process they need to improve upon. I did not expect the truck to be ready quickly…but the hoops and silence stuff is not good. It all started when I got my email saying it was built…and the subsequent silence/not being upfront is what got under my skin a bit.
If they had said in April delivery would be mid May, wouldn’t care. Even mid June. But the ‘it’s built but we can’t help you’ was a bit of a mismanagement imho.
SO, just HOW does one contact GM “DIRECTLY”? Question asked previously, no answer…
My dealer said I have a “build” number, but no other info. My order was placed January 17, 10 days prior to start of manufacturing. I’m seeing others commenting on their dates and they see their trucks have been built, waiting shipment!
Thanks for any input from anyone on this.
Go to the GMC website. Initiate a chat session. You will get a bot at first. Easy enough to circumvent. However, it’s easier to use it at first.
You will need your order number or VIN if you have it. Mine came via an email from GMC (order number). After starting the initial bot chat, type ‘order status’. You will be prompted for you order number.
It will give you basic info but no real delivery status.
When it asks you if there is anything else, type ‘advisor’.
Then you speak with a live person.
You won’t get much, however, if your truck is produced they will tell you that. The canned response is ‘speak with your dealer’ if you ask about delivery.
Check your email. Look to see if you have any email from GMC. If you see anything that indicates a status change, bring it up with the advisor. That’s how I got better info on delivery.
Thanks for the feedback. They really just need to communicate better. Even if it’s bad news we can take it. I called the dealer today. They said their first Canyon arrived today. No word that it was coming. It just showed up on a contracted hauler. Just 1 truck arrived. The rest of the vehicles on the hauler were going to other dealers. Unfortunately not my truck. My truck has been built. After that, no one has a clue what’s going on with it.
My local GMC dealer has 2024 Sierra HD trucks ON THE LOT !
Still waiting for their first 2023 Canyon…
Worst response I’ve heard in decades. Alex didn’t explain ANYTHING. If you don’t know & can’t find out -say so & don’t spend 10 min talking about the obvious physics of everyday life. Don’t put out a show when you have nothing to explain the “WHY” GM can’t or won’t explain their reasons for not producing at a normal rate at an assembly plant. Mary should be communicating while she also should kick some management ass at Wentzville! And Alex. – we all know what Amazon does & the obvious differences between an Apple Watch & a truck!
No real answer. After all, GM has been manufacturing, shipping, and selling vehicles for eons. That is their business, period. The video acts like this is something new to GM. There is no excuse for the lack of communication on GM’s part not giving an explanation to customer’s who have already put thousands of hard earn dollars down on vehicles in limbo. Truly and inexcusable business practice. Very disappointing
CHEVROLET JUST TELL THE TRUTH WHY COLORADOS ARE NOT SHIPING
Looks like the closest that I will get to my Trail Boss is looking at pictures online. I have bought Chevys all my life, but this may be my last. I realize that this won’t faze GM, but this is sucks.
I was all excited as a customer’s Canyon was built a week early, thrown on a train, and arrived in Woodstock, ON this week with an estimated delivery date of 10 May, then 12 May, now it’s been ‘Delayed’. I thought maybe I got lucky and had a build that wouldn’t get held up but now my customer’s lease is up and we have no idea on what’s happening with a truck that’s 30 kms from our dealership.
UPDATE: saw THREE ’23 Colorado’s at my local dealer today. 2 Trail Bosses and a LT. Looks like they are finally showing up.
I must admit , the HYPE over these new trucks is OVERBLOWN. I have a 22 now and i am not planning on rushing into a new 23. The interior Screens are great, the Gloss Black switches and console covering sucks. Shifter Placement is strange but at least it has a real shifter not a knob! Opened the tailgate on the LT and it crashed down hard? terrible. Opened the Hood, NO FLIPPIN HOOD Struts??? A Cheap Hood Rod! Bed looks smaller? sometimes the little things do add up GM. you can do better.
How are short guys like me going to open the hood far enough to stick a prop rod under it, with the sheer height of these trucks? AWKWARD!
There is a cylinder conversion kit that I installed from Redline Tuning, and it seems to work quite well, at least for the 6 days it’s been installed. The next problem becomes “how do you close the hood?”
The soft open tailgate must be by trim, because my Canyon has it, and as far as the prop rod, a kit and 10 minutes takes care of that. Take one for a test drive and feel how much the driving experience has improved. IMO, everything about the new trucks is better, other than the engine being a bit more thirsty.
Just learned my Colorado Trail Boss was in a whole new status code; Built, but “Delayed in Transit”
Hadn’t heard that one before, and I’ve heard a bunch of them
Ordered it in January!!
Tim, where do you find out the status of your truck?
checked today 05/16/23 i moved from 4000 stuck at plant to 4200 on a rail car. i ordered a colorado wt with plus eng 12/28/22 and its moving today, hope this info gives all of you hope,
My Canyon arrived today. Of course I’m out of the country for work…but it’s at the dealership.
Looks like once they start moving, it goes pretty quick. Couple of weeks to get to Maine from Missouri.
My Canon was shipped the last of April. Last Friday it showed it was still in Wentzville. GM told me the shipping company doesn’t follow up with the status. I was out of the country for ten days, thinking it would be delivered but it wasn’t. Still waiting, I did find out it wasn’t among the ones damaged by hail.
FYI- There was a hail storm at the storage lot, most all trucks are now on admin hold until they can inspect the damage.
One dealership in East TN said his two units were shipped to Nashville and been sitting there for over two months. Sounds like Gen Z won’t take driving jobs.
This video does not answer any of the questions that most of us have. I have watched it 3 times to see if I missed anything, but that says why Wentzville is not shipping out large quant ties of trucks. It just said it may be this or may be that and other things that we already know like if you have a truck, you need a driver, etc. I have heard rumors about chips and hail storms, but nothing concrete. Like others, my dealer got in one Colorado last week. The first one to show up in Austin probably.
The frustrating part is all the trucks they keep providing to the reviewers and influencers. And all the ads I am seeing. They are all over Youtube telling us how good the truck is and how nice it looks. Clearly they have the ability to manufacture these. Stop advertising this truck until you can sell it. They started telling us last summer that production was going to start in the end of January. 4 months after that date all we see on dealer websites is “In Transit”. That is a lie. Sitting on a lot waiting to get finished because you are missing parts does not qualify as “In Transit”. They are stringing along people so they don’t lose their sale to another brand. That is dishonest. Most people can’t just write a check for a new truck. They have to plan around with their finances to make sure when its available they can purchase it. Maybe you want to buy a house but you don’t want a car loan on your credit report so you are waiting. Just be honest.
Dishonest is a bit over the top. Implying they are intentionally lying. More like obfuscation. They are shipping trucks (mine arrived Wednesday, ordered January 29 iirc). They just aren’t shipping a lot of trucks. Their PR/communication team needs a bit of prod.
Not that it’s all GM’s fault. My dealer was one step behind GM. Every step in the process, GM would email me (status code changes clearly prompts an auto email). My dealer was always one step behind. I’d be telling them what was going on based on what I could gather from contacting GM and the various emails. From build to delivery. GM was telling me…but they acted like they didn’t know. Your dealer is making a few bucks too…they should be a bit more ‘on their game’ so to speak. Look through your emails, if they set you up properly…GM will send you notices periodically.
The influencer thing is a joke. Note how they were all in Asheville, NC? Bad optics imho. Then again, the whole ‘influencer’ thing to me is a kind of a scam. But it works so more power to them I suppose.
My truck is waiting for me when I get home (I was away all week). So they are shipping. A bit more communication would be useful (look at the wild stories here…that’s what happens in a vacuum). Better to lay out all the facts rather than let others make stuff up and spread rumors.
It’s the internet though….facts are a bit ‘subjective’ these days. 🙂
How did/do you get emails from GM on status updates? I finally received my “Build Code” from my Dealer, but others receive updates direct from GM? My dealer said once the “Build” is assigned, it only takes TWO days for the build, but it doesn’t say where it is in line for being built… Then, of course, it’s the wait for the delivery…
Anyway, appreciate any advice you have to offer. Thanks.
When your dealer orders the vehicle, they have to assign it to you. Technically, they can’t sell it to anyone else. They should provide GM with your email address.
The emails then just start from GM (my first one was when it was when they accepted the order…and the rest followed from there). Seems to be an auto triggered email whenever the status code changes.
My truck was ordered 1/29. It was built 4/1 or so. Took delivery a week ago. Just under 4 months start to finish.
I’d call your dealer to make sure they gave GM your email.
I saw an a report supposedly from GM saying that all Colorados and Canyons on the lot had hail damage and would have to be retrofitted (whatever that means) and the wait would be a lot longer. Don’t know how true this is, but it true it may be time to start looking at a ford or something else.
Update: picked mine up today. Got the Canyon AT4 with a few packages.
Realizing it sucks at the moment and extremely frustrating, it is worth the wait (for me anyway). GM really just needs to step up communication and get these things out there. It is a really nice vehicle.
Very impressed. It’s not ‘perfect’. A few things I’d do differently. But yeah, for my needs…it’s ticks all the boxes.
We will see how it holds up. But the initial ‘wow’ factor was there.
Just a thought… If GM cannot provide an accurate estimated or guaranteed arrival date for an ordered vehicle, maybe GM shouldn’t allow dealers to accept deposits or place orders for vehicles they literally cannot deliver. It isn’t like we are ordering a customized corvette at pre-production. We have given our money in good faith towards a mass-produced vehicle of our choice to be delivered to us in a reasonable time frame. Some customers (like me) don’t have a vehicle right now because we sold ours outright rather than trading it in. Accepting a down payment on a vehicle that was supposed arrive at the dealership within “30 days” seems like it should have some sort of guarantee of delivery. If not, GM should offer something to compensate those customers who have put deposits down on vehicles that aren’t being delivered in a timely manner.
I finally got a Colorado Z71 on 6/1/23 that was built in 5/23. I did place an order for a Z71 back in 2/23 and that was built in 4/23 and it was one of the trucks that was damaged in the 5/8/23 hail storm in Wentzville, MO… Crazy that a truck that was built in 5/23 got here quicker than the one I ordered.
The dealership called me a let me know that they had 2 Colorado Z71 came in and asked if I wanted one of them….
It is no wonder Toyota owns the mid size truck market. GM can’t deliver! Ordered in Jan here it is June not a peep of info. Just know it was built and is sitting in the weather somewhere. So disappointed with GM!
my 2023 colorado z71 has been built, the dealer recieved the vin.and its been months and still no truck,my sells person checks on the status ,and it shows its still sitting in the lot at the factory, what gives?i called g.m and they are clueless also.
Placed an order for the At4x April 13, GM has not accepted the order. My dealership believes I may not even get it this year. Maybe some edition1s will ship but that all.
Gm is not accepting the order I placed for a AT4X back in April. Deal thinks I won’t get it until next year.
I have tried to find a red Colorado Z71 or Canyon Denali without a sunroof with side steps and it is not a possible find. GM in their usual state of confusion and customer ignorance hasn’t a clue what they could sell if they forgot about their stupid EVs and built what the public actually wanted. If you don’t want a black of white truck you are out of luck.
I have one without sun roof, side steps, medal gray that I will sell for $65,000. It has 3K miles.
I started a search back in April for a Glacial Blue Metallic 4X4 LT and the closest one “In Transit” was being shipped to at an out-of-state dealership 1-1/2 hours away. Fortunately, I was able to network with an exceptional sales person who basically put my name on this truck and provided shipping updates on a regular basis. I was beginning to think that this 2023 would become a 2024 by the time I’d see it. Much to my delight, I was notified last week that it was on it’s way to Oregon, arrived at the dealership this Monday and I drove it home Thursday. It would have been great to have had it a few months ago, but I’m feeling it was worth the wait.
Agree GM has failed totally with the delivery and information area, this is a total win for Toyota. My Canyon was ordered in January it was built in March and still a no show and listed as “ in transit” So disappointing. I also am considering canceling my order and ordering a new 24 I-max Tocoma
I ordered my AT4 in December and it was built on Feb 6th. Mine does not even show up as “In Transit” and the dealer can only confirm it was built. I have been ordering and buying GMC trucks for 40 years but my loyalty is waning quickly.
I am so frustrated that I looked at the new Toyota but they are not even giving a date for the new truck. It appears that the small truck market is exploding and the big four are not prepared for it.
Like everyone else who ordered a 2023 Colorado/Canyon built in Wentzville, Mo. I was frustrated even before I heard about the hale storm that damaged over 5000 trucks there. I got my deposit back and looked around Austin and found a Trail Boss
that had more options that what I had originally ordered and bought it on the spot. The GM Midsize build plan is the Bud Light of truck sales.
I am one of the lucky people who got the truck they ordered. I ordered in early February and got it May 16. Dealer said they didn’t know it was coming, just arrived on a truck by itself. 2 issues so far, onstar lost connection for several days meaning no navigation. I called them and we couldn’t resolve the issue at that time but it worked the next day. Second issue was a dead battery, 3.8 volts a day after driving. Dealership couldn’t find any problems and pretty much blamed me for the problem. I wanted a new battery but they said no. Please post if anyone else has any of these issues.
Same scenario with battery. Looks like there a bug with their latest software update (see the GM authority article).
Battery was dead. Dealer came to pick up the truck on Saturday (I am away for a week) and are sorting it with GMC now.
Looks like the update keeps the infotainment system in a constant on state even with car system down. Send the dealer the article…it wasn’t you.
did they replace the battery?
If the Batt got to 3.8 volts it is junk and must be replaced. Tell you want a new Batt or a new truck their choice
thanks for the replies, where can I find the article?
I found the article
Dealer has agreed to replace battery although GMC did not. They also said another person’s canyon had to be towed in due to dead battery.
I took truck to dealer for new battery, they insisted on updating firmware. Connection to GM server could not be completed and caused display to go out. They are working with GMC techs but I had to leave truck with them. I wonder if draining battery caused connection problem or if truck chip isn’t ready for general use.
Interesting. I haven’t checked the On-Star as I haven’t needed nav, but cannot get Bluetooth to recognize my phone after no problems for the first 15 or 16 days! Have appointment with local dealer Wednesday. Thinks it may be a software issue… will keep you updated.
I have to wonder how GM can stay in business being so bad in delivering trucks to the dealership and not being transparent of why nobody’s orders are being filled
Other companies don’t have this problem. We may be seeing the beginning of the end of GMC, time will tell.
I was away this week. They delivered my truck as soon as I landed yesterday.
They updated the firmware and replaced battery.
Bugs happen. Frustrating, of course. But it’s the nature of the beast. They aren’t writing code for the space station or commercial aircraft. It’s to be expected. Every single auto manufacturer face the exact same thing. Ram, Toyota, Ford…everyone I know who has trucks (many friends with vehicles after all) have had some sort of issue be it mechanical or, in this case, software related. We tend to get myopic when it happens to us though.
If they had said ‘can’t replicate it’ then I’d be a bit miffed. But they owned it and fixed the issue expeditiously. I was more dissatisfied with the round about via roadside assistance than the truck to be honest…holy confusion batman.
We will see how it unfolds of course. I really like this truck (bugs withstanding).
The days of old when you could open the hood of your truck to see what was wrong are long gone. Now it is take it to the dealer or call a tow truck. As far as the bugs go, when we switched to a computer-based system they go with the territory. If an issue isn’t a big one, the fix may be years in coming if ever. My Sirius radio works most of the time but occasionally it just says “Loading” and will never come on unless I stop the engine and switch off the system. Same with the loud pop I get with the first use of a turn signal after start-up. The dealer’s suggestion is to turn down the radio volume and then activate the turn signal each time I start the truck. It works but it is so stupid that I can’t believe I just paid $45,000 for this Frankenstein truck.
Dead battery yesterday on my 2023 Canyon AT4. I charged it up from 6.5 volts to 12 and took it to dealer. Second time in 5 months, no confidence in truck. Heads up display doesn’t work sometimes, dealer is clueless.
Of course, the dealers are clueless. They are seeing all of this for the first time too. It will take actual solving of the issues by GM as they appear for them to be able to fix them. I knew this was going to be an issue but figured I could handle it.
This article is from April, toward the beginning of the year. In June we put down the money to order a 2023 Chevy Colorado from a local dealership. We have been patiently waiting but at this time, September 27, 2023, we have only been informed that the vehicle was moved from the manufacturing facility to the railyard and is ready to ship. Actually we were told that two weeks ago. When do we stop waiting, what do we sacrifice (I certainly hope no one says our hard earned money), how to we get the product we ordered.
I understand that shipping a vehicle is no small feet, however we could have driven to MO to pick this up instead of sitting around waiting on answers that just are not sufficient to answer the questions.
Is anyone having problems charging their phones with cordless charger? I have an I phone 15 and it doesn’t work.
Hey everybody just cancel your orders and get your deposits back!! Then see what happens.
Took 6 months to get mine and I am not impressed, only get 9 mpg when towing, phone charger does not work. I will be trading for a 2024 Tacoma I-Max when they come in
