The 2023 Cadillac XT4 stands as the fifth model year of the luxury marque’s entry-level luxury crossover. Today, we’re taking a look at 2023 Cadillac XT4 towing capacities.
Before diving right in, here’s a quick rundown on the powertrain specifications. Under the hood resides a single engine option, the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY, which is rated at 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Every XT4 is equipped with the GM nine-speed automatic transmission as standard, while buyers can choose between FWD and AWD configurations.
It’s also worth noting that the 2023 Cadillac XT4 is available with an optional towing package, which increases the luxury crossover’s max trailer weight rating. Identified by RPO code V92, this trailering package includes Hitch Guidance, Hitch Guidance with Hitch View, a hitch, a Hitch cover and seven-wire harness, available 170-amp alternator, and available Heavy-duty cooling system.
With all of that out of the way, here are the 2023 Cadillac XT4 towing capacities:

Looking over the numbers, the towing ratings don’t change depending on trim level or drivetrain configuration. Instead, figures depend on the application of the towing package, where XT4 units equipped as such are able to tow an extra 1,000 pounds, for a total capacity of 3,500 pounds.
Interestingly, XT4 models without the trailering package have a higher tow rating than a similarly equipped Cadillac XT5 (2,500 pounds vs. 1,000 pounds, respectively). With the package, the max Cadillac XT4 towing rating is the same as the XT5’s.
As a reminder, the refreshed XT4 will feature updated exterior styling, a reworked interior, and a suite of new safety features. Production of the 2024 XT4 is scheduled to kick off on April 24th, 2023 at the GM Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas City.
Under the body panels, the Cadillac XT4 rides on the GM E2 platform.

As a former Cadillac owner I no longer find anything attractive in Cadillacs lineup. I hav3 puchased Buicks since 2011 and even purchased a few current Lincolns. The styling of the Cadillac is both bland and garish.

Even though it is nice to know the tow ratings, you hardly see any vehicles of this class and ilk tow a small trailer or cargo. If never on the road at all.
