As a reminder, the 2024 Sierra HD is equipped with the 6.6L L8T V8 gasoline engine as standard on most trims, while the 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine is optional on most trims. The Duramax has been uprated to 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque, up by 25 horsepower and a 65 pound-feet over the pre-refreshed models. In the case of the Denali Ultimate, the Duramax is equipped as standard.
No matter of engine option, every GMC Sierra HD is equipped with the Allison-branded 10-speed automatic transmission as standard fare, which replaces the GM six-speed previously found in gasoline-powered configurations.
Under the body panels, the Sierra HD rides on a more capable variant of the GM T1 platform, while production officially commenced in March 2023 takes place at the GM Flint plant in Michigan.

I’ll take my Denali with the jet black interior, and the summit white exterior…in fact, I’ll be picking mine up next week after waiting since February!
I picked up my SLT in Columbia,Mo. thursday 27th in white with slate interior. Sure like it but GM should have offered another color , two choices is not enough selection for the interior. OH well GM don’t ask the buyers their thoughts .
Lloyd You are correct. Spending the better part of $100.000.00 and only having 2 options in upholstery material seems a little primitive. How difficult is it to offer more choices. PS Glad to see the gearshift lever is still where it belongs.
I pick colors on both the inside and outside that hides dirt the best. That’s why I don’t like light colors.
