Here Are All The 2024 Chevy Silverado HD Paint Colors

The 2024 Chevy Silverado HD debuts a significant mid-cycle refresh for the fourth generation of GM’s most popular truck nameplate. The refreshed 2024 model year pickup features ten available exterior paint colors, which we’re looking at in detail here. Six are new for 2024.

Disruptions caused by COVID-19 and the microchip shortage shifted the planned refresh from the 2023 Chevy Silverado HD to the 2024 model year instead. Besides the paint palette changes, the refreshed truck gets a new exterior, overhauled interior, an upgraded powertrain, and a new trim level.

The 2024 Chevy Silverado HD is available in both 2500 HD and 3500 HD series and with a choice between single-rear-wheel or dual-rear-wheel configuration. Its exterior boasts a large new front fascia outfitted with revised headlamps featuring C-shaped LED lighting signatures shared with the refreshed Chevy Silverado 1500. The truck also incorporates a new grille design, new wheel and tire options, and tow hooks equipped as standard on all models.

For LT trim levels and above, the heavy-duty pickup introduces an overhauled cabin space equipped with an all-new 13.4-inch diagonal infotainment screen and 12.3-inch diagonal configurable driver information center.

Powerplants for the refreshed 2024 Chevy Silverado HD include the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine developing 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque and equipped as standard. The 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine is optionally available, now with output boosted for the 2024 model year refresh to 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque.

Both gasoline and diesel 2024 Silverado HD trucks have a transmission updated from the previously-equipped GM six-speed automatic to the Allison-branded 10-speed automatic.

Production is now under way at the GM Flint plant in Michigan and the GM Oshawa plant in Canada. Meanwhile, under the body panels, the pickup sits on a more-capable variant of the GM T1 platform.

The 2024 Chevy Silverado HD online configurator went live toward the end of March 2023.

  2. Is there any difference in color here. The lakeshore blue looks a lot like northsky blue.

  3. Curious to learn what/if any changes were made to the turbocharger on the Duramax’s. They are right up against the optimal drive limitations (480hp) of the turbo used in the 2019-2023 trucks.

    1. Banks did a youtube video between the 23 and the 24 Duramax. There is a different turbo.

  4. You have to go to the dealer to see how the colors actually look unless you have one of those 4k color corrected monitors that the pros use.

  5. Was told by a GM Executive a couple weeks ago Tricoat Pearl wouldn’t be available again til June at best, very frustrating. I’ve had a truck ordered since February.

    1. My tricoat radiant red is on constraint still. I am betting mine wont be built until July. I am in no hurry though. Everyone is just guessing at this point.

  6. In all fairness the dealer I ordered from and the GM Executive I been talkin to both say it’s the supplier they buy the paint from is the problem not GM. Just read into that what you will ,however the guy from GM I been talking to has always been very truthful.

  7. Have had a 2024 3500HD Sterling Grey Metallic SRW long bed Gas LTZ on order since mid January……dealer has plenty of allocations but my order is still at event code 1100. Anyone else in the same boat??

  8. Very similar J , I’ve had a 2024 Chevy 3500 SRW High Country with a Duramax in Pearl Tricoat ordered since February. GM used up all that color in the first round of dealer allocations. What frustrates me is I have a deposit down and the truck was marked sold and they build other trucks first. It’s enough to make me pull what hair I have left out !

    1. Yep, its frustrating to see other 2024 trucks on the dealers lot for sale as part of their stock orders when you go ahead and order a truck the way you want it. One would think customer orders should have priority but apparently they do not. This dealer is telling me that SRW long bed trucks are not being built in great numbers, but who knows.

      1. I grew up in the car business from the 70’s til the 2000’s I remember clearly when a unit ordered and marked sold it went to the front of the line ! I also remember when dealers were very appreciative to have your business, now they treat customers like they don’t care if you buy a car or truck because someone will at msrp sometimes more ! Basically we don’t need you , you need us !

  9. Has anyone told Chevrolet that the headlight design on their 2024 trucks looks like total S***! What blind moro* is working on the Chevrolet HD design team? GMC got it right, Chevrolet laid another egg. Their previous design was fugly too! Why??? Those headlights sitting there surrounded by plastic looks like the design team ran out of time and money and just plugged them in. Unreal! They just can’t get it right.

  10. Leave it to GM you cant get anything that looks clean only dark dirty colors. you can have multiple shades of black nothing clean that actually looks good.
GM may as well offer Black or White.

  11. It appears that I won’t be order a truck before they start getting everything ready for the 2025s. The only upside to this is if somebody can convince GM/Chevy to bring back Rainforest Green Metallic for the 2025 pickups before I order one. I love that color. I don’t understand why they offer it for a year or two and then discontinue it for a long while. I get offers for my truck all the time just because it’s Rainforest Green Metallic.
