The 2023 GMC Sierra HD receives minor changes and updates over the previous year. Base price of the nameplate for 2023 increased by $1,000 across the board over the outgoing 2022 model. Also, the GMC Sierra HD is one of several GMC and Buick models that include the mandatory 3-year OnStar and Connected Services plan, for all but the Sierra HD Pro trim level. In December, the Sierra HD received a destination freight charge (DFC) increase of $100, rising from $1,795 to $1,895.

Last fall, GM unveiled the refreshed 2024 GMC Sierra HD debuting fresh exterior styling, a new interior, a revised trim level lineup, powertrain updates, and more. The refresh is highlighted by the arrival of the premium 2024 GMC Sierra HD Denali Ultimate, the pinnacle of heavy-duty trucks. Joining the new range-topping trim level is the “seriously off-road capable” 2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4X. Compared to the 2023 model year, pricing of the refreshed 2024 Sierra HD models are now between $1,100 and $3,500 more expensive depending on trim level.

  4. 2023 base price on AT4 is $9000 more than base price on my 2022 AT4. And still don’t have all the chip retrofits for my 2022. Yet GM has started production of the 2024 HD trucks. It is incomprehensible and unconscious of GM to treat their “forgotten” customers this way. I’ll say what everyone else is saying, this will be last GM in my driveway. Hey Mary Barra, when it comes time to buy an EV, I guarantee it won’t be a GM.
