Ford Mustang Takes Out Chevy Tahoe After Car Meet: Video

If there’s one thing that Mustang drivers are known for – rather infamously that is – is losing control of their performance vehicle. Whether it be due to some sort of combination of powerful drivetrains, inexperienced drivers, or just dumb luck, Mustang owners have been at the butt-end of many jokes and memes for several years. Now, one Mustang driver furthered this stereotype by crashing into an innocent Chevy Tahoe bystander as he was leaving a car meet.
The Mustang driver, who appears to be in a pre-refreshed fifth-generation Stang, attempted to show off as he was leaving a car meet with a drift, but quickly lost control of his vehicle. Looking over the video, it appears as though the Mustang drifted a little too far, and as the driver attempted to correct it, snapped in the other direction, and ultimately ended up crashing into the aforementioned Chevy Tahoe.
This was no love tap either. Although the angle of the video makes it hard to discern exactly how catastrophic the damage was, it’s clear that both vehicles are heavily impacted. The Mustang driver appears to be visually confused, perhaps bewildered as to the events that just transpired, while the Tahoe driver is likely livid. That being said, it thankfully appears as though neither occupant was severely injured as a result of the accident, although several bystanders were clearly upset with the Mustang driver’s buffoonery.
This should go without being said, but even so, GM Authority would like to remind and urge our readers to pay attention on the road and abide by all traffic laws. Save the antics for the closed road course, away from innocent bystanders.

Usual mustang thing
Since you watched it, I guess it does!
Mustang driver looks barely old enough to drive it. What idiot parents thought that buying their kids a v8 Mustang was a good idea?!?!? What……they didn’t think that any dumbf#ckery would happen??? Hope they have great insurance. 👍
When I started driving in 1980 at 17 my parents let me buy a used 1970 LT1-1 Z-28 with the 4 speed rock crusher transmission with the 4.10 rear end. I am an accountant and pretty conservative but think back and wonder why they were ok with that or maybe they didn’t know? Top speed was 120 with the 4.10 which I saw on several occassions. For the most part i drove normally and some friends said I drove slow.
Been seeing too many of these screwups. Either on this site and even in person. Kind of thing that gets shows cancelled.
what an “IDIOT” !!
…what do you expect putting 500HP on a front engine rear wheel drive Ford Explorer SUV chassis? A Mustang is just a Ford Explorer SUV, and it handles like a SUV as should be expected.
And, at the end of the video, you can hear the next car being throttled-up to entertain the eagerly waiting bystanders. What do organizers expect the outcome to be?
Another idiot with more horsepower than brains. Where did he think that car was going when it hooked up? He should have let off sooner, obviously.
Idiot that does not know how to drive their car, trying to show off their nothing car. The Tahoe driver should be fighting mad I hope this does not ever happen to me.
No, he was not serious just stupid. Just a shame that goofball will never see any of these posts, most likely can’t read either.
Moron in a Mustang.
Another stupid kid whose parents taught him nothing. He’ll get bailed out and life will go on. More stupid parents that don’t give a damn what their kids do. Maybe they will when he kills someone.
And they live among us.
How come Camaro drivers are better?
Nothing to do with it being a Mustang. Same thing awhile back when a kid crashed his dad’s Vette. It’s just really stupid people being a$$ holes. I won’t take my new C8 ZO7, my Camaro ZL1, or my 1971 Camaro Z28 that my parents bought new for me for my 16th birthday to show because of stuff like this. By the way my Z28 has never been in an accident. My older bother was given a new 69 427 Vette for his 16th birthday, that he never crash either. Stop blaming parents, or a person’s age, and the kind of car. This guy got in his car with cold tires and thought he was so cool. Hopefully he got reckless driving ticket and his ins dropped him. People like him are going to ruin car shows. You see this all the time.
Again, the parents are at fault for that.
Lmao!!! What???
Your PARENTS bought you a Camaro Z28 and your brother a Corvette for a 16th bday gift???
My first car was a beat up $hitty Camry that I had to BUY off my parents for $5000. Then years later I had to buy my first new car being a 6th gen 2.0T Camaro. Ya’ll are lucky as hell… I don’t even get to live at my parents house for free, I have to pay rent 🤣🤣🤣
I just don’t understand why people with powerful cars don’t learn to drive them…people preaching to obey laws probably falls on deaf ears (just thinking of my younger self)…so, if you are compelled to be a law-breaking rebel, I’m not recommending or condoning it, but I understand it…go to a secluded area with lots of space and learn how your car behaves, learn when to get off the throttle, how much angle is too much, etc.
While I’d be PO’d if I was who got hit, I do see the good from a young guy learning a tough & expensive lesson BEFORE he hurts anyone (again, I’m relating to my younger self & experience). This might be a good kid, or he might be a total jerkoff…you can’t tell from this video…sometimes this kind of F-up scares an otherwise good kid bad enough that sets him on the right path…
The driver of the mustang is completely stupid and so are his parents. Why put a loaded gun in the hands of a kid? Read the paper and see how that turns out.
You can’t fix stupid.
As bad as it was it could have been much worse if he had gone into the the bystanders on the other side of the road.
Go on You Tube or Google cars leaving car shows. That was nothing. And most are adults.
I’m pushing 70 and have been driving Mustangs since I was 17 without incident, at least one car from every generation. Most of us are responsible drivers and cringe when we see this or hear of these street showoffs because it’s dangerous to both the driver and bystanders, and at best ruins tires and eventually damages the car internally. This is the first generation of youth for which horsepower of up to 500 or more has been affordable. That kind of power was obtainable years ago but only at a very high price. Please understand that we hate this behavior more than most because it reflects poorly on all of us. We’re the first to call it in to police if we see or hear of it as we continue to wage war on this irresponsible behavior. We reserve our track driving to just that — the track, of which there are many around the country.
I am 65 and have been driving a Mustang for the last 15 years without an accident, except for a Dodge 4×4 that sideswiped me as he changed lanes without looking. I also never turn my car loose in a confined space like that fool did.
Why does natural selection have to involve other people?
I can’t stand spoiled kids, that’s why we are so weak a s a country.
