Chevy Silverado MD Recalled For Faulty Brake Pressure Switch

GM has issued a product recall for certain units of the Chevy Silverado Medium Duty (MD) truck due to a problem related to a faulty brake pressure switch.

The problem: affected vehicles may have a condition where the brake pressure sensor assembly may leak brake fluid into the brake pressure switch and cause an electrical short-circuit.

The fix: certified GM technicians will be instructed to inspect the master cylinder pressure sensor and wiring harness and replace as necessary, free of charge. There is currently a stop-sale in effect.
