Chevy Silverado Driver Damages McDonald’s Drive-Thru During Hit And Run: Video

Queuing up in a fast food drive-thru line should be a pretty quick way to get a meal. However, for the driver of this particular Chevy Silverado, it wasn’t quick enough, prompting them to aggressively back out of the line and cause quite a bit of damage in the process, as captured in the following video.

The video was recently sent to local Fox News affiliate KMPH Fox26.

A Chevy Silverado attempts to back out of a fast food drive-thru line.

According to the report, a McDonald’s drive-through line in Madera, California was moving somewhat slowly that evening when the driver of a Chevy Silverado pickup truck attempted to exit the line. The report states that an onlooker saw the Chevy Silverado collide with a van in front of the pickup in the drive-thru line. When the driver in the van asked the Chevy Silverado driver to exchange information, the Silverado driver said that he did not have insurance, instead offering to pay $200 for the damage done to the van. When the van driver declined the offer and mentioned contacting law enforcement, witnesses say that the Chevy Silverado driver began to aggressively back out of the drive-thru line.

That’s right around the time when the video begins. We see the Chevy Silverado positioned perpendicular to the drive-thru line as the driver tries to roll over the curb and back out down an adjacent hill. As the pick-up rolls back, the front driver side fender collides with the drive-thru menu screen, ripping it off its pedestal. The driver then proceeds to exit the parking lot. Damage is clearly visible on the driver side front fender as the truck leaves.

Local police say that they received a service call for the drive-thru, but that the Chevy Silverado and its driver were gone by the time officers arrived at the scene. The incident is now being investigated as a hit and run.

As for the Chevy Silverado, it appears to be modified with aftermarket wheels, a large light bar mounted above the windshield, and a step-up hoop below the driver’s side door. The hood and tailgate are also painted black.
