Cadillac CT6 Wreaks Havoc In NYC: Video

A Cadillac CT6 was at the center of a wild scene in New York yesterday after the driver injured a police officer in an attempt to flee a traffic stop.

Reports indicate that police conducted a traffic stop at Seventh Avenue and 38th St. in Manhattan around 4:50 p.m. local time yesterday when the driver fled the scene. The black Cadillac CT6 sedan was later spotted at Madison Avenue and 38th St. when officers again attempted to stop the vehicle.

Police attempt to stop at fleeing Cadillac CT6.

Video captured by onlookers at the scene show place officers attempting to break the driver’s side window of the Cadillac CT6 when the driver crashes into parked cars ahead of it before reversing into police officers behind the vehicle. Reports indicate that one of the police officers suffered a broken leg and head injury, but is in stable condition. The sedan then hops onto the sidewalk and flees the scene.

Another video of the incident shows the Cadillac CT6 accelerate away from police officers and crash through an outdoor dining area before hopping onto the sidewalk. The sedan then crosses the street before hopping another curb, taking out a street sign. The Cadillac CT6 continues through an intersection before leaving the scene.

Police issued an advisory to avoid the area around 30th St. from 3rd Avenue to 5th Ave. as an investigation was conducted. The Cadillac CT6 was later found that evening around East 31st St. near Lexington Avenue. The driver is presumed to have abandoned the vehicle and is still at large.

Yet further video show the ground-level view of the Cadillac CT6 fleeing the scene with officers pursuing on foot. The video continues with what appears to be the aftermath, with the CT6 abandoned and heavily damaged.

The reason behind the original traffic stop was not disclosed, however some reports indicate that the Cadillac CT6 was equipped with a fake license plate.

In this case where the car was used as a deadly weapon, they officers would have had clear probable cause to open fire on the driver. The issue with that is cross fire with innocent people in the area. However, if they have the tags (obviously do) and know the driver and/or the police can 100% ID the driver as being the registered owner of the car, then this driver will get what’s coming to them. That driver should never be allowed to attain a DL in any state of the USA for life. What’s more, they should be incarcerated for the same amount of time that a person firing a weapon and injuring others would get.

Worst part of this all? The P.O.S was in one of the last real Cadillac’s made and completely ruined it. The low-life doesn’t deserve a Cadillac.

The police could had shot the vehicle to disable it without killing the driver although he deserved getting shot.

As an ex-police officer, I can tell you that is not what is taught in the academy. That’s the stuff that movies are made of. And even if one or more of the officers went rouge and did that, you still have cross fire to worry about with other people.

As my father and two uncles were NYPD when the 38’s were standard issue. Main reason it took so long to go to higher power automatics (with more rounds) was NYC is so crowded with people. Bullets do not stop, they keep going.

Once my parents were vacationing in San Francisco and my dad heard a bang. A crazy assaulted a SF police officer and the officer nose was shattered. The officer shot dead the assailant but the bullet hit a pedestrian a block away. Of course my dad assisted the police officer after the attack.

In the top video, the person shooting the video screams the “N” word approximately 40 times and shouts at the police to let the criminal leave the scene. He insinuates that the police are at fault because they are trying to stop the miscreant from causing anymore property damage and hurting anymore innocent bystanders. 10:1 after being arrested, this degenerate will be released from prison sooner than the wounded police officer will be released from the hospital.

    Disgusting.
