The next installment in the Transformers film series, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, is set to hit theaters this June, setting the stage for an epic battle to decide the fate the Earth. Naturally, Bumblebee, an Autobot capable of transforming into a ‘70s-era Chevy Camaro, plays a prominent role throughout the film. Now, a new trailer for the upcoming movie shows Bumblebee both as a Chevy Camaro and as a Transformer robot.
The film Transformers: Rise of the Beasts takes place in 1994, and tells the story a pair of New York archeologists who get roped into a war between several factions of Transformers, including the Autobots, Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons. With help from their human friends, these living robots will battle to decide the fate of all living things.
The trailer opens with exposition that covers the story behind the conflict, showing us Unicron, Lord of Chaos and the arch-enemy of Primus, who is capable of transforming into a world-devouring robot planet. Together, the good guys must unite to fend off their common enemy and save the world.
Throughout the trailer, we see Bumblebee, a yellow and black Transformer that can take the form of a second-generation Chevy Camaro with yellow paint and black racing stripes. Bumblebee has also been shown previously with off-roading upgrades, including large fender flares, roof-mounted lights, large off-road tires, and similar such items.
The new movie will once again include Optimus Prime, voiced by Peter Cullen, who acts as the leader of the Autobots and can transform into a 1987 Freightliner semi-truck, as well as Mirage, voiced be Pete Davidson, an Autobot spy that can transform into a Porsche 964 Carrera RS 3.8, and Arcee, voiced by Liza Koshy, an Autobot commando that can transform in a Ducati 916 motorcycle.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will arrive as the seventh installment in the series. Look for it in theaters on June 9th.

In “Beast Wars” where the Autobots become animals, Optimus Prime is a Silver Gorilla. I expect to see that Autobot form in this movie.
And in the next Transformers movie, Bumblebee will be an electric CUV.
Would somebody tell me where there was a Camaro in that clip.
I’d be leery watching this one. With all the Bud Light controversy going on, “Transformers” may have a whole new meaning. Maybe one of the Autobots transforms into a Trans Am. Just sayin’.
