All-New 2024 Buick LaCrosse Interior Leaked In China

After the all-new 2024 Buick LaCrosse’s cabin was caught uncovered in China last month, the interior design of Buick‘s upcoming full-size sedan has now just leaked in the Asian country.

Chinese media leaked the first official images of the all-new 2024 Buick LaCrosse’s interior, as the sedan will introduce the fourth generation of the China-only vehicle. In fact, this is the third leak of the upcoming 2024 LaCrosse since the initial reveal in December that details important aspects of the model before General Motors’ SAIC-GM joint venture makes its official introduction to the Chinese market.

As such, the first official leaked images show a panoramic view of the all-new 2024 Buick LaCrosse’s interior, featuring the latest Pure Design language and the brand’s latest technological innovations. Highlights include the massive 30-inch 6K free-form curved display mounted on the dashboard, equipped with the next iteration of the Buick iConnect OS, with the most advanced connectivity features in its class.

The images also confirm that the interior of the all-new 2024 Buick LaCrosse will share many design elements with the new Buick GL8 Century MPV, including the same steering wheel, center vent module, various dash trimmings, the center display panel and seemingly the same ambient LED lighting system as the best-selling minivan in China.

In addition, leaked photos focused on various internal details of the 2024 Buick LaCrosse, such as the gear selector mounted behind the steering wheel, the floating center console integrating a wireless smartphone charger to maximize practicality and cabin space, as well as high-quality controls and materials in the door panels. These details could be exclusive to the range-topping Avenir variant.

The all-new 2024 Buick LaCrosse will make its world debut sometime this year in China, the country with the world’s largest auto market where sedan-bodied vehicles maintain a strong presence and high consumer demand. The new model is based on the long-wheelbase variant of the current GM E2 platform, and all versions will continue to be powered by the 2.0L I4 LSY engine.

  1. At least it got Wildcat headlights. I expected these on SUVs, too, instead of such angular units.

Looks like a Nissan or other Japanese car. At first I saw Impala but this is definitely Asian

  2. Gm Design has lost its way!

    1. Not for US market. GM knows a traditional but modern look would be more better for NA.

  3. First it doesn’t matter because it’s not here and won’t be here. Second, even if I did like that interior, it wouldn’t matter because they took a really attractive exterior design (last model Lacrosse) and turned it into this.

But about that interior: I just don’t get the whole humungous screen that is total overkill. In the only picture above that shows it (but is so dark you can barely see anything), the screen is full of images and sh*t that not only looks bad, but is a major distraction to drivers both young and old but for different reasons.

  4. That front end does not fit with the rest of that car.
    Buick bombed big time here.

    1. I was thinking the same thing. The rest of the car is quite conservative in design then there’s the front end which is anything but.

    2. Lexus does the exact same thing with conservative bodies and spindle front grille. GM, IMO, is having design issues across the entire line up
Simcoe is first an engineer which suits the need for aerodynamic EVs but there is no beauty

  5. Did they reuse the Malibu body side? Interior looks good.

    1. I thought the same thing regarding the side elevation. Someone on this post said that GM Design lost its way. How true. How sad.

    2. I said the exact same thing when exterior pics were released – they lifted the back quarter panel from the Malibu. The trunk deck lid design is exactly the same as the Bu which is a good thing.

The interior is amazing – finally Buick living up to it’s “premium” branding. Let’s hope it carries over to the next gen Enclave.

  6. Front end is pertinent but the back end looks like it was welded on from some 1990s thing.

  7. gm could’ve gave us this interior instead but yet we’re stuck with the gx and envista 🤦🏾‍♂️

  8. The outside is straight up ugly. The last generation LaCrosse was very attractive but this thing looks like a giant mess. Instead of making a body that the wildcat design would work with, they just slapped it on a box. But that interior on the otherhand is gorgeous.

  9. It’s for the Chinese market, clearly inspired both by Buicks new shark face design but also the big Chinese Toyota sedan.

  10. Who on Earth designed the exterior of this thing? Aliens from another planet wouldn’t even like this. Buick can do better, but in their eyes…no need. Please sign here.

  11. It’s giving Ford Fusion

  12. I wish this vehicle was available in North America. There are still people than want sedans instead of SUV’s and crossovers.

  13. Who cares about China?! How about building a decent Buick sedan here? Enough with the upside-down bathtubs.
