2024 Chevy Trax Cacti Green Paint Color Not Available To Order Yet

Early last March, the all-new 2024 Chevy Trax began first shipments to the U.S., indicating the imminent arrival of the fresh compact crossover on American shores. Despite this exciting news, the 2024 Trax is still currently unable to be ordered in a certain paint color.

Cacti Green (color code GVR) is one of 10 paint colors on offer for the 2024 Trax, and one of seven new colors as compared to the outgoing 2022 Chevy Trax. However, it hasn’t been available from the start of regular production (SORP).

For reference, Cacti Green is a no-charge color option for the 1RS, 2RS, and Activ trim levels, and not offered at all on the LS and LT trims. As of the time of this writing, it’s currently unclear as to when this color will become available to order.

As a reminder, the ten exterior paint colors on offer for the 2024 Chevy Trax are as follows (relevant paint codes listed in parenthesis):

  • Blue Glow Metallic (GGK)
  • Cacti Green (GVR)
  • Cayenne Orange Metallic (GFQ)
  • Crimson Metallic (GFM)
  • Fountain Blue (GLN)
  • Harvest Bronze Metallic (GXN)
  • Mosaic Black Metallic (GB8)
  • Nitro Yellow Metallic (GCP)
  • Sterling Gray Metallic (GXD)
  • Summit White (GAZ)

In regard to powertrain, the 2024 Chevy Trax is powered by the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, rated at 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. Notably, this is the same powerplant found in the Chevy Trailblazer LS and LT trim levels. Output is routed to the front wheels exclusively through the GM six-speed automatic transmission.

Under the body panels, the 2024 Trax rides on the GM VSS-F vehicle set. Production kicked off February 13th, 2023 at the GM Changwon plant in South Korea. Pricing for the starting 1LS trim level will start at $21,495, including the destination freight charge.

The GM Changwon plant is in South Korea–not China.

Yes, you’re right. That was my mistake, and it’s since been corrected.

How do you write Chevrolet with Chinese characters so emblems match country of Origin instead of a sticker inside door so to stop using American brands as a ploy .But the US dealer who sells it can proudly put his sticker and plate frame on it.by the way the rear is ugly.

It’s not built in China. Learn your facts before spewing nonsense.

You will buy what we decide to build in South Korea, including the rollout schedule on new paint colors.

The design update looks 100% better in person. Passed a manufacturer one on my way to work the other day. I plan on getting the green color when available, it looks very nice in person, had it at the auto show.

EDIT: The majority of GM vehicles are imported from Mexico or South Korea. The only US made ones are the pickups (not all of them) and a lot of the EV’s will be built here. No more cars and all the SUV’s (the majority that are affordable for the average person) are imported.

That’s not true. The Malibu, Camaro, Corvette, CT4, CT5, XT4, XT5, XT6, Acadia, Enclave, Traverse, Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban, and Escalade are all made in the USA (for the US market). Also, as you state, most pickups–Colorado, Canyon, and many Silverados and Sierras–are made in the USA, as well as the Bolt EV & EUV.

Can you update us on if she got it or not because I want to order that color as well.

She has not received it yet. The last she heard was it was in transit to be built, whatever that means.

Nice color, seems new models get a good variety of nice shades. Where existing models get maybe 2 new shades. Imagine if we could order any color that gm has in a given yr! I know it has a cost component but being u basically have to order your vehicle today they could group builds/colors . I would wait to get a choice of color.
