Production of the next-generation 2024 Chevy Traverse is currently scheduled to kick off in December 2023 at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan. For now, not many details are known about the upcoming next-gen Traverse. However, upon closer inspection of GM Authority spy shots, it appears as though the 2024 Traverse may sport a similar exhaust tip design to that of the C8 Corvette Stingray.
Featuring a quad-tip design – with two exhaust tips positioned on either side of the lower valence – it appears as though this setup may be equipped as standard fare across the 2024 Traverse lineup. This come development comes from GM Authority spy photographs that capture prototype Traverse units in both LT and Activ trim levels sporting a Corvette Stingray-esque exhaust tip setup.
As seen in the two photos above, both the C8 Corvette Stingray and prototype Traverse feature four rectangular exhaust tips oriented in similar positions. What do you think, dear reader? Do you think General Motors is drawing inspiration from the Vette for next-gen Traverse styling cues? Let us know in the comments below!
As far as other updates coming for the 2024 Chevy Traverse, the Bow Tie brand’s full-size crossover will be the first of three next-gen, full-size crossovers to be released, with the next-gen GMC Acadia set to launch soon afterwards, and the next-gen Buick Enclave set to launch one model year later. All three will be manufactured at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant, as production of the GMC Acadia will be moved from the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee to the Lansing Delta Township facility.
All three full-size crossovers are expected to ride on an updated version of the GM C1 platform known as C1-2.
In regard to the current 2023 Traverse, the Bow Tie crossover is powered by the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LFY gasoline engine, rated at 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, and puts the power to the ground via the GM nine-speed automatic transmission. It’s possible that the 2024 Traverse could inherit this powertrain, however, the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine could also be introduced as well.

Could this actually be the Corvette SUV?
I hope this is sarcasm…
C7 had the best exhaust setup—- Actually the BEST CORVETTE!! I had a 2019 and sold it. The most stupid thing I ever did. After the C8 came out my C7 was so much nicer looking~~~ TO me at least—–
Those exhaust tip only add more to the cost! You want it to look like a Vette, then put a motor in it that will sound like a Vette! Tomg
Put the Traverse on a diet and you get a Corvette.
It would need bariatric surgery to become the Corvette’s fat cousin…
I think it looks alright but who cares if the exhaust tips like the vette as long as it doesn’t have that fake cut outs in the bumper and it has some exhaust tips. And they really should change the design of the seats the support cushions sink in no time and becomes flat. My 2018 Enclave has the same seat design and it’s one thing that I heat about this model they need to do better and start with the inside as well as the outside use better materials these vehicle aren’t cheap and the competition is doing better,I’m just a GM brand loyalists but they need to be better
The only similarity is their both square lol.
The corvette version has a trumpet like flare to them the suv does not straight. To be honest the suv looks good on it!.
The corvette tips look hideous on the vette IMHO
Thier BUTT ugly, even on the C8 stingray.
It’s better than what it is now. But the big question is what is the interior going to look like. Are they goi g to put a panoramic sunroof in as well and go away with the current setup.is going to have better looking dash.
i don’t think they are drawing inspiration from the corvette given the fact that the current traverse has the same exhaust from the v6 camaro.
…so maybe they drew inspiration from the Camaro for the current gen?
Looks bland & generic. The split grill feature needs to do. Trax looks beautiful but Traverse not so much
Maybe wait till the camo is off? This is looking like a scaled up “beautiful” Trax to me.
“What do you think, dear reader?”
How high were you when you wrote that?
The main reason for the common exhaust tips is tooling costs. GM goes to the corporate parts bin at every opportunity to save on tooling costs, especially on non-differentiating components.
Looks good. Looks much better on the outside so far than the current gen IMO.
5.3L or a twin turbo 3.6L…I’ll take either one please.
