The refreshed 2024 Chevy Silverado HD pickup truck got its big reveal back in September, with GM unveiling an updated exterior, an overhauled cabin space, a new off-roader trim level, and a powertrain update as well. As GM Authority covered previously, one of the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD’s new wheel designs was previously made unavailable. Now, however, GM Authority has learned that the wheel is once again available, albeit in a somewhat different form.
20-Inch 12-Spoke Bright Chrome Wheel (RPO code Q7G)
The option in question is the 20-inch 8-spoke Bright Chrome wheel, which was tagged with RPO code Q7G. The 20-inch 8-spoke Bright Chrome wheel option was introduced for the 2024 model year refresh, but was later made unavailable. The 20-inch 8-spoke Bright Chrome wheel was originally set to be offered as a standalone option for the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD LTZ trim level, as well as included in several different packages, including the LTZ Premium Package (RPO code PDK), Z71 Off-Road and Protection Package (RPO code PDZ), LTZ Premium Texas Edition package (RPO code PDY), and Z71 Chrome Sport Edition package (RPO code WBL).
Now, however, this optional upgrade is available as the 20-inch 12-spoke Bright Chrome wheel. The wheel is still tagged with RPO code Q7G.
The 20-inch 12-spoke Bright Chrome wheel is offered as a standalone option for the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD LTZ trim level, and is priced at $1,400. The wheel requires the LT275/65R20 all-terrain, blackwall tires, which are $200 and are tagged with RPO code QF9. However, the 20-inch 12-spoke Bright Chrome wheel option is also included with the Z71 Chrome Sport Edition for LTZ trim levels, which is priced at $2,940 and is tagged with RPO code WBL.
As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD is equipped as standard with the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine, with the 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine offered as optional. A more-capable variant of the GM T1 platform provides the underpinnings, with production taking place at the GM Flint Assembly plant in Michigan and GM Oshawa plant in Canada.
