2024 Chevy Equinox Pricing Uncovered

Production of the 2024 Chevy Equinox is just around the corner, set to kick off on May 8th, 2023. With this mind, GM Authority has exclusively learned the 2024 Equinox’s pricing breakdown in all trim levels and drivetrain configurations.

The most-affordable 2024 Equinox is the LS with front-wheel drive, retailing for $27,995. Meanwhile, the most expensive 2024 Equinox is the Premier configured with AWD, and has a starting MSRP of $34,795.

Trim Level Drivetrain 2024 MSRP + DFC 2023 MSRP + DFC +/- 2024 vs. 2023
LS FWD $27,995 $27,995 $0
LS AWD $29,595 $29,595 $0
LT FWD $30,890 $29,095 +$1,795
LT AWD $32,490 $30,695 +$1,795
RS FWD $32,345 $32,095 +$250
RS AWD $33,945 $33,695 +$250
Premier FWD $33,195 $33,195 $0
Premier AWD $34,795 $34,795 $0

It’s worth noting that all prices include a $1,395 destination freight charge, which carries over from the 2023 Chevy Equinox.

Sharp-eyed readers may notice that the LT trim starting price, in both FWD and AWD configurations, rose by $1,795. This is because the Confidence & Convenience Package (RPO code PCP) as well as the Side Blind Zone Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Alert Package (RPO code PDJ) are now equipped as standard fare on the 2024 model. Previously, these packages were options on the 2023 Equinox, costing $1,595 and $200, respectively.

The 2024 Chevy Equinox will look similar to this unit.

As a whole, a 2024 Equinox spec’d in the LT trim gains eight standard features, including (relevant RPO code in parenthesis):

  • Front and Rear Park Assist (UD5)
  • Remote Start (BTV)
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control (CJ2)
  • Driver and front passenger heated seats (KA1)
  • Wrapped steering wheel (N5F)
  • Power liftgate (TB5)
  • Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert (UKC)
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert (UFG)

The RS trim also rose in price, albeit much less drastically then LT trims. RS units will cost an extra $250 over the preceding model year due to the inclusion of the Side Blind Zone Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Alert Package (RPO code PDJ) as standard. Previously, this was a $200 option on the 2023 Equinox RS.

This means that 2024 Equinox units outfitted in the RS trim receive two standard features, including Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert (RPO code UKC) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (UFG).

As a reminder, the 2024 model is largely a carryover from the 2023 model. This means the 2024 Equinox is powered by the new-for-2023 turbocharged 1.5L I4 LSD gasoline engine, rated at 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. Output is routed to the ground via the GM six-speed automatic transmission.

Under the skin lies the GM D2 platform. Production takes place at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant and GM San Luis Potosí plant, both of which are in Mexico.

  1. I just got word yesterday that my 2023 RS was cancelled due to the 23’s being built out. I am waiting to see if the dealer can locate a stock unit thats close enough equipment wise or if I will just wait and order a 24. The $50 price change on the RS is leaning me towards a 24, maybe the dealer will sweeten the deal for a 23.

    1. Luckily we bought the 2019 Red Line with the 2.0 turbo 253 HP. It’s a rocket ship that is very easy to get a speeding ticket in, just like I like it, being a C8 owner. Rented a 1.5 Equinox not bad at slow speeds, but there is no kick at highways speeds there is a big difference in the driving experience like no fun and not great for passing.

    2. Have you actually driven one? For almost all normal driving situations the 1.5 Turbo in the Nox is very good. At high altitude it is excellent. I had a rental Equinox and drove it up I70 from Golden and up to the Eisenhower tunnel to Copper Mountain with the cruise control set at 74 and it stays in 6th gear lockup the whole time, never needs to downshift. The low RPM torque in this engine makes it feel more powerful than it is.

Someone at GM who has a lot more data than any of us long ago decided the savings of having one engine vs. the cost of adding a second make the one engine choice easy.
