General Motors pulled the sheets on the all-new third-generation 2023 Chevy Colorado last July, revealing a long list of updates and changes for mid-size pickup nameplate. Now, the latest third-gen 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2 is highlighted in a new video advertisement, as seen here.
Clocking in at exactly 1 minute, the new video ad is titled “Big Life”, and highlights a variety of interesting features for the 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2.
The video opens with the 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2 out in the desert, where we see the pickup shredding some sand in the dunes. The driver puts the pickup the pickup into Baja mode, which adjusts various settings for the throttle, transmission, and drivetrain to tailor driving characteristics for high-speed desert running.
Next, we see the 2023 Chevy Colorado’s new StowFlex Tailgate, which opens up a 45-inch-wide, 4-inch-deep watertight compartment when the tailgate is lowered that includes a lockable lid and a drain – perfect for stowing some chilled beverages.
The Chevy Silverado ZR2 is then seen crawling up a muddy hillside, where the available underbody cameras provide a clear view of any possible obstacles underneath the truck. These complement the 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2’s standard 3-inch factory installed lift and upgraded Multimatic DSSV dampers.
The 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2 is also seen towing, with the available 10 camera views allowing the driver to easily maneuver a boat down a landing.
Under the hood, the 2023 Chevy Colorado features the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, which is rated at a maximum of 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, providing a max trailering weight up to 6,000 pounds in 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2 models (7,700 pounds elsewhere in the lineup).
“The all-new Chevy Colorado,” the voice over narrator says. “Made for more.”
Under the body panels, the 2023 Chevy Colorado rides on an updated version of the GM 31XX platform, while production takes place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

Chevy ZR2. If you like open-trunk vehicles that can offroad a bit while being palatable on road, we’ve got your ‘truck’.
agreed. Maverick is more of a truck than this thing
Spot on…what an awesome take that nobody agrees with except sad little morons that likely couldn’t even afford a new vehicle until their worker’s comp settlement comes in so they can pay off their trailer house.
