Normally, when someone refers to a vehicle as a “boat,” they intend to evoke the ethos of something like an ’80s Cadillac sedan; floaty, lots of body roll, and virtually no feedback from the road. Meanwhile, the C8 Corvette is typically described as a taut sports car with heaps of driving feel. However, this particular C8 Corvette is literally a boat, and it’s for sale!
According to the South Florida listing, this seacraft is a JetCar, and is 15-feet long and powered by a 1.8L Yamaha gasoline engine that develops 180 horsepower. What really makes the JetCar stand out is the bodywork, as it features the aerodynamic shape of the C8 Corvette.
Of course, it’s worth noting that this sea vessel is C8 Vette in silhouette only, as the rear end and interior are drastically different from the road-going Corvette. The seller claims that the JetCar is “much more stable and easy to balance” than a conventional jet ski, and that the “responsive steering system makes it easy to control and maneuver, allowing you to navigation through tight turns and make quick stops with ease.” The asking price is set at $4,000.
For our landlubbers out there, the current 2023 Corvette is available in two flavors, the C8 Stingray and the C8 Z06. The 2023 Stingray is powered by the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine, which is rated at 490 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, or 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque with optional dual-mode performance exhaust system (RPO code NPP). The 2023 Z06 features the naturally aspirated and high-revving 5.5L V8 LT6 gasoline engine, which produces 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
Meanwhile, the upcoming 2024 Corvette E-Ray combines the aforementioned LT2 engine with an electric motor on the front axle to bring total output up to 655 horsepower.
As for structure, all C8 Corvette variants, including the hybrid C8 E-Ray, ride on the GM Y2 platform. Production takes place exclusively at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

I watched a video of this (I assume) C8 Boat scooting across the water, looks like it cruises right along in video, no slouch. That price ($4,000.–) appears to be low, bet it won’t last long, this looks like it would be a lot of Fun. 👍
and it looks like it sits on a 500.00 trailer.
The guys in Turkey have likely not seen the custom tandem trailers the California boys use on their boats…
Don’t like the 0LT interior.😎
It certainly LOOKS cool. Iconic styling rendered with nicely done details of the obvious object of its inspiration.
‘Certainly an attention getter on the water…
