A few months ago, GM Authority reported that PaxPower Performance Trucks, a tuning shop out of Houston, Texas, offered a Ram TRX and Ford F-150 Raptor rival in the form of the Jackal Chevy Silverado ZR2. Now, for customers that only want the supercharged power that the Jackal Silverado features, PaxPower Performance Trucks offers supercharger kits for any modern GM truck or full-size SUV.
PaxPower offers prospective customers the opportunity to supercharge their GM truck or full-size SUV with a 3.0L Gen 5 Whipple supercharger. When equipped with the 6.2L V8 L87, this setup is good for 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. This kit is available for the following vehicles:
- 2019 – 2023 Chevy Silverado
- 2019 – 2023 GMC Sierra
- 2021 – 2023 Chevy Tahoe
- 2021 – 2023 Chevy Suburban
- 2021 – 2023 GMC Yukon
- 2021 – 2023 Cadillac Escalade
It’s worth noting that this kit is also available for the 5.3L V8 L84.
To complement the increased power, PaxPower also outfits supercharged vehicles with a Borla dual-exit exhaust. All supercharger packages are available with a three-year or 36,000-mile warranty. Notably, PaxPower indicated that this kit works with trucks equipped with GM’s Global B electronic architecture.
“For the 2022 year and into the 2023, Chevy gave us a whole lot of new challenges,” Ben from PaxPower was quoted as saying. “New bodywork, new security for supercharger systems, and even a new model in the ZR2. We’re here to let you know that we’ve now overcome all of those challenges and ready to start building and delivering trucks.”
For those that want the full package, look no further than the Jackal. PaxPower takes the Silverado 1500 outfitted in the Crew Cab / Short Bed configuration, the Chevy Silverado ZR2 included, and gives the pickup an aggressive widebody, new steel bumper, custom hood, BFGoodrich off-road tires, Prerunner-style suspension upgrades, and of course, the Gen 5 Whipple supercharger. With an extra eight inches of width and a six-inch wider track, any Silverado modified in this manner can tackle almost any off-road trail.

Currently pending EO but will be approved before it is needed at 2 year mark.
The 5.3 and 6.2 engines have enough problems with bad lifters, DFM and bending push rods. A super charger would void the warranty and let GM off the hook on a very piss poor set up on their V8 engines. No thanks.
