GM has issued a service bulletin for certain units of the 2023 Cadillac XT4, wherein one or more connectors for the Body Control Module may be incorrectly seated.
The problem:Â affected units of the Cadillac XT4 may have a condition where one or more of the connectors for the body control module are not fully seated. This problem can also affect certain units of the 2023 Chevy Malibu.
The fix:Â dealers will carry out an inspection of affected vehicles and determine whether the connectors for the body control module are fully and correctly seated. The passenger-side front seat must be moved to the full rearward position to access the module in the 2023 Cadillac XT4. This repair does not require any additional parts.

Those connectors used to have mechanical retaining clips on them, at least my Pontiac G-6 does. What’s the problem?
