GM has issued a service bulletin for a retrofit of the Front and Rear Park Assist feature (RPO code UD5) on certain units of the 2022 Cadillac XT5 and 2023 Cadillac XT5, GM Authority has learned.
Retrofits are now under way on 2022 and 2023 Cadillac XT5s built without a functional park assist feature due to the semiconductor shortage.
Those units built from December 20th, 2021 throughout the remainder of the 2022 model year are affected by this constraint. All units of the 2023 Cadillac XT5 produced to date are affected by a non-functional Front and Rear Park Assist feature.
All affected vehicles can be identified through inspection of the window sticker, which includes the RPO code 00Z if the unit was built with the Rear Park Assist feature non-functional.
The Front and Rear Park Assist feature (UD5) is normally included as standard on all trim levels, including the Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport.
Several other GM models were produced without the Front and Rear Park Assist feature, including the Cadillac XT4 and XT6 crossovers. The 2022 Chevy Camaro and 2023 Chevy Camaro also have some units produced without the Rear Park Assist feature (RPO code UD7) and are currently receiving a retrofit under the same Customer Satisfaction Program.
Dealerships can complete the retrofit by replacing the currently installed non-functional park assist module with a new, functional park assist module, along with installation of two nuts. The dealership service personnel will also reprogram the instrument cluster and/or the active safety control module in some of the affected Cadillac XT5 units if necessary.
The actual replacement of the park assist module requires approximately 96 minutes or 1.6 hours on average. It is carried out free of additional charge.
The retrofit program is in effect until March 31st, 2026.
Dealerships notified buyers of affected Cadillac XT5 crossovers about the non-functional Front and Rear Park Assist feature at the time of purchase, and the missing feature was so indicated on the vehicle’s window sticker as noted above with RPO code 00Z. Owners were notified of their vehicle’s eligibility for a retrofit at no additional cost once the necessary parts became available.
Affected 2022 or 2023 Cadillac XT5 owners who want more information about the retrofit can call Cadillac’s customer service number, referencing the GM customer satisfaction program number below.

When will the park assist retrofit commence for the 1500 Silverado?? Seems as if they are being left out.
