The GM Authority Take
Cadillac XT4 sales posted a 123 percent jump in sales, enabling an impressive gain of five percentage points in segment share. This is the direct result of improved inventory as a result of resumed production following an extended assembly downtime as a result of supply chain constraints.
Overall, Cadillac‘s new-vehicle inventory stood at just above 60 days supply in January 2023 following more than 60 days supply in December 2022 and a high of about 65 days supply in November 2022. A 60-day supply was considered optimal in the U.S. auto industry prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. For reference, a 60 day inventory level means that dealerships have enough inventory on hand to sustain current sales volume for roughly the next 60 days.
XT4 sales continue to improve, and with a refreshed model delivering a fresh face plus a massive interior upgrade, we expect sales to continue growing, so long as supply can keep up.
About Cadillac XT4
The 2023 Cadillac XT4 arrives as the fifth model year of the first-generation small luxury crossover, introducing minor changes over the 2022 Cadillac XT4. It continues offering a single engine option: the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine producing 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The boosted four continues to be mated to the GM nine-speed automatic transmission for both front-wheel- and all-wheel-drive configurations.
The 2023 Cadillac XT4 entered production at the GM Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas City, Kansas, on June 10th, 2022. The online configurator tool is live for the 2023 XT4.
GM recently unveiled the fully refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4, debuting a new exterior design, an updated interior, and new tech features. The trim level lineup once again lists out as Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport, each of which offers its own unique styling attributes.
The changes start with a new front and rear end, the former of which incorporates an updated grille design and new LED headlights with signature vertical lighting cues. The refresh introduces new alloy wheel designs as well, including 18-inch and 20-inch options, plus three new exterior colors.
Inside, we find an overhauled cabin headlined by a new 33-inch, 9K-resolution LED color touchscreen, the design of which was inspired by the Cadillac Lyriq. The 2024 Cadillac XT4 also offers a 13-speaker audio system from AKG, 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capability, and wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto capability. Customers have a few new interior color and trim choices, with brushed aluminum trim, Piano Black trim, genuine wood, and genuine carbon fiber making the materials list.
More than a dozen safety features are included as standard. As for what’s under the hood, the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 carries over the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, which is rated at 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Output is directed through the GM nine-speed automatic transmission, with standard front-wheel-drive and optional all-wheel-drive.
Production of the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 is currently scheduled for April 24th.

Great news! Go GM!
An impressive feat because I’ve never thought this was attractive or competitive.
Good to hear and it is a plus for gm stock.
Refresh occurred at an ideal time.
The story doesn’t mention anything about product availability. Sales competition is irrelevant if all the auto makers can’t get product to their dealers
