Creed III is in theaters now, arriving as the third installment in the Creed series and the ninth film in the Rocky franchise. The film tells the story of Adonis Creed, who must face off against a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy who is eager to prove himself in the ring. Notably, Creed III features Cadillac’s very-first all-electric vehicle, the Cadillac Lyriq luxury crossover.
In a brief teaser, we see quick shots from the movie, including scenes where the Cadillac Lyriq is featured.
“Going into Creed III, we wanted a sponsor that encompasses the same ambition as Adonis, to be fearless,” says Creed III director and starring actor, Michael B. Jordan. “The Cadillac Lyriq is pushing the narrative as a luxury electric vehicle. It was a great opportunity for us to showcase a brand with a vision towards the future, and Cadillac embodied that.”

Officially making its big debut for the 2023 model year, the Cadillac Lyriq is the first Cadillac production model to feature a fully electric powertrain. Several different configurations are offered, including a rear-wheel-drive model, as well as an all-wheel-drive model, the former of which delivers 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, while the latter produces 500 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. Both ride on the GM BEV3 platform, and both deliver over 300 miles of range per charge. GM Ultium batteries and GM Ultium Drive motors provide the motivation.
Critically, the Cadillac Lyriq combines GM’s cutting-edge battery-electric vehicle technology with the latest Cadillac design language and luxury. The front end of the vehicle, which is featured prominently in the teaser, incorporates a black crystal grille and signature lighting, while the cabin space offers up a 33-inch curved diagonal LED screen for infotainment duties, as well as wood and metal trim, Active Noise Cancellation, and a 19-speaker AKG Studio sound system.
Production takes place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.

Creed is not worth nothing without rocky. Has to be political correct crap.
Thanks Cadillac Man. I enjoy the way you beat up the English language and enjoy reading the current thoughts going through your head. It is entertaining.
@maynard. Yea, I enjoy you’re sarcasm too buddy. I guess you are happy with pc culture.
Not sure why GM paying for this form of ‘product placement’ advertising is perceived as a positive. I still haven’t seen a Lyriq in the wild, I hope I don’t have watch this third installment of a Rocky (I assume) spinoff I’ve never heard of, in order to see one in action.
I just saw one a couple days ago for the first time, at the grocery store of all places. Looked really sharp, certainly stood out from the crowd, in a good way in my opinion. And that’s hard to do in the CUV category. Has a presence to it
Saw a truck load today go up 75 in dayton ohio, seems they are finally getting them shipped out. All the same color. Was on the other side of highway so didn’t get a good look at them.
I have owned my Lyriq for 42 day and it has spent 24 of those day in the dealership for programming repairs.
Hey Mary, would love to buy an ICE powered Lyriq. 2024 XT5? I’m all in baby!
