All Chevrolet Vehicles In Brazil Will Include A Smart Pay Tag

General Motors deepened its partnership with a local service provider and has announced that all Chevrolet vehicles sold in Brazil will include a smart pay tag.

The automaker’s Brazilian subsidiary and the company Sem Parar, leader in automatic payment methods in Brazil, have just announced that all new Chevrolet vehicles will include the ‘Sem Parar’ (Non Stop) smart pay tag as standard, strengthening the Bow Tie brand’s technological leadership in the South American country. This new innovation promises peace of mind and convenience to customers of both companies.

“We’ve popularized multimedia with MyLink and the OnStar advanced telematics system with a focus on security and asset protection. We were innovative by launching, for example, native Wi-Fi with a signal up to 12 times more stable and the myChevrolet app to control car functions remotely,” said Director of Connected Services at GM South America, Jaime Gil. “The new Sem Parar tag is another solution designed to bring convenience to Chevrolet customers,” he added.

The Sem Parar tag will be installed as standard on all Chevrolet models for sale in the Brazilian market starting in March – both locally manufactured and imported. To enjoy the benefits of this solution, customers who buy Chevy vehicles must activate the smart pay tag by signing up to one of the Sem Parar plans from the company’s website.

Sem Parar has an accredited network of automatic payments that covers more than 5,800 points in Brazil including tolls, service stations, more than 2,000 airport parking lots, shopping centers and hotels, as well as 700 drive-thrus, car washes and condominiums without need to have queues. In addition, customers of Chevrolet vehicles with the label will also gain access to the multiple services offered by the Sem Parar app.

The alliance between GM and Sem Parar offers a special six-month introduction package for the ‘Na Cidade’ (In The City) and ‘Em Todo Lugar’ (Everywhere) service plans. Customers who purchase models from Chevrolet’s premium lineup will be able to double the monthly fee waiver period on the Chevy Bolt EV, S10 High Country, Camaro SS and Premier versions of the Equinox and TrailBlazer SUV.
