General Motors is poised to update the GMC Yukon with a full model refresh for the 2024 model year, ushering in a wealth of changes. Among the changes to be introduced by the 2024 GMC Yukon will be new 24-inch wheels, as seen in the following GM Authority spy photos.
For the moment, the largest wheel diameter on offer for the GMC Yukon are 22-inchers. As such, these new 24-inch wheels arrive as a significant upgrade over the current model’s setup.
As GM Authority covered previously, GM will offer 24-inch alloy wheel options across its refreshed full-size SUV model range, including the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, Chevy Tahoe, Chevy Suburban, Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV. The move coincides with a broader industry trend towards larger and larger wheels, and in fact, GM design chief Michael Simcoe was quoted in 2019 as saying that wheel sizing up to 26 inches in diameter was just over the horizon.
As for the refreshed 2024 GMC Yukon, the upcoming model refresh follows the latest fifth-generation overhaul introduced for the 2021 model year. As we see here, the refresh includes 24-inch wheel options with a split, Y-spoke design, giving the SUV a relatively sporty look. The new 24-inch wheels are wrapped in 285/40R24 Bridgestone Alenza tires.
As we can see from these images, which coincide with previous GM Authority spy photos, the refreshed 2024 GMC Yukon is set to introduce a new exterior design with a broad grille and reshaped lighting, including C-shaped lighting signatures and central vertical lighting elements, with styling that takes cues from the refreshed GMC Sierra and possibly the GMC Sierra EV as well. New fog lights are mounted lower in the fascia. Also notable is a new roof fin antenna mounted on the roof.
On the other side of the SUV, we see black vinyl camouflage covering the tail of the SUV and obscuring revisions to the rear fascia design, as well as updates to the taillights that will likely incorporate new LED lighting elements. The rear bumper will also get reworked, while lower in the bumper corners, we spot a quartet of exhaust pipes. The updates will continue in the cabin, offering up new tech features and other changes. Stay tuned for more info on all that.
Look for the refreshed 2024 GMC Yukon to hit production this coming November.

I like them. if you dont like them, dont get them. its literally that simple
BUT Kyle, I don’t like seeing things I wouldn’t personally do!!
I would say Michael Simcoe evidently doesn’t drive these vehicles. I test drove denali’s with 22-in wheels and ended up buying one with 20-in because of the ride quality. It definitely sucks with 22-in wheels. I can’t imagine what 24’s are going to be like. My dealer said he heard a rumor that 22s will be standard and I said I may not be ever buying one of these again unless you can get at least 20 inch wheels. Roads in the Northeast are awful. They definitely should leave 20″ wheels standard and 22 and 24 optional for people who live where the roads are smooth as glass or they are only garage queens. These vehicles are expensive and I expect a nice ride, which they are capable of if the proper tires are used. I could see this opening up all kinds of lawsuits against GM. Mary Barra please fire Michael Simcoe before he ruins your some of your best vehicles!
I’ve run K2 Yukons with both 20″ and 22″ wheels. The best thing about the 20″ is that the rubber is cheaper.
No issues with the 22s being rough but living in God’s country we are blessed with better roads and fewer potholes, where bigger sidewalls would be a prime consideration.
The best thing is that there are choices for different needs.
Waiting. To order 2024 Yukon denial. When can we do that
Waiting for it…
Why? Not a fan, they look weird and result in lots of flat tires.
If you are going to go with Anything larger than 22” then you might as well add factory spinners too! 🙄 just an idea🤦🏻♂️
No, let’s not bring the spinners back anytime soon.
Bigger is better!! That’s just me! I like anything above a 20. Trucks need 22’s/24’s and suv’s need 24’s/26’s. You don’t like that? I’m fine with it, I absolutely HATE lifted trucks with 35 inch tires . Look foolish to me, especially when the guy driving the truck is 5 foot 4 inches tall!!
Now, lets talk about GM updating their V8’s……MORE HP/TQ PLEASE
I can respect that, everyone has their own vision as to what “Right” looks like to them.
