As a quick reminder, the 2024 GMC Sierra HD received a mid-cycle refresh that features revised exterior styling, an overhauled cockpit, powertrain enhancements, and the introduction of the range-topping Denali Ultimate trim level. An all-new 2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4X is also on the way later this year.
Under the hood, the 2024 Sierra HD utilizes the 6.6L L8T V8 gasoline engine as standard fare on most trims, while the 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine is optional on most trims. The Duramax boasts 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque, up by 25 horsepower and a 65 pound-feet over the pre-refreshed models. In the case of the Denali Ultimate, the Duramax is equipped as standard.
No matter engine option, every GMC Sierra HD runs the Allison-branded 10-speed automatic transmission as standard, which replaces the GM six-speed previously found in gasoline-powered configurations.
Under the skin, the Sierra HD rides on a more capable variant of the GM T1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Flint plant in Michigan. As far as pricing goes, a 2500 HD WT RWD truck in Regular Cab Long Bed configuration has a starting MSRP of $46,295, including the destination freight charge of $1,895.

I am look very close at the ultimate denali crew cab daully, as I currently have a 2020 denali crew cab dually. I am noticing they have not allowed many options for the ultimate model. Yes I want the retractable step, I also would like to have the upfitters 6 switches for the snow plow. But they said the 6 switch option is not available. I also note the new colors there is not many readily available real photos not not color pallets? For the 100K truck you would think they would get additional information to the loyal customers!
I just ordered this truck. the retractable steps are a standard in this truck..
the upfitter switches if I understand correctly are already installed standard, you just have to pay someone to connect to them. there is a video on YouTube that I watched the other day where they talk about the build of this truck. Here is the link to that video.

WHEN Will It Ever STOP!!!!!
They’re dealer installed!!! Ship my truck without it!!! Put it on later!!! I ordered a Silverado HD. Same issue (obviously).
I did not have my dealer build my truck with anything that is labled LPO, anything that is labled LPO is dealer installed and I can do it later, that way it does not slow down my build..Maybe call you dealer and take off the LPO options
That’s what I did. I ordered a white AT4 with one option, the gooseneck prep package. I put in order in a week ago and last Thursday GM picked it up for order. I can add running boards and other stuff later. I’m hoping mine is one of the first ones to show up.
Your one of the lucky ones to get it picked up that quickly.
I do know that the at4 builds are coming out faster than the Denali ultimate builds.
I just hope that I have mine by the end of the year lol.
