2024 Cadillac XT4 Offers A Bunch Of New Active Safety Features

GM unveiled the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 in February, pulling the sheets on revised exterior styling, a new interior, and fresh tech goodies. Among those new tech goodies is a wealth of new active safety features, as detailed right here.

The new active safety features for the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 are available via the new Active Safety Package, which is tagged with RPO code AS2 and is offered on Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels, but not the Luxury trim level. The new Active Safety Package is priced at $1,825.

The Active Safety Package for the 2024 Cadillac XT4 includes the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):

To note, the new Active Safety Package for the 2024 Cadillac XT4 replaces the Driver Assist Package offered previously for the pre-refresh 2023 Cadillac XT4. The Driver Assist Package offered previously was tagged with RPO code Y66 and was priced at $1,100, bundling together the following safety tech features:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control (KSG)
  • Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking (UGN)
  • Reverse Automatic Braking (UVZ)

In addition to the new safety tech features listed above, the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 also features new styling for the front and rear end, with a new grille, reshaped LED headlights, vertical signature lighting, new alloy wheels, and new exterior colors all making the list of updates. The new wheels are available in 18-inch and 20-inch sizing, while the new exterior paint options include Emerald Lake Metallic, Midnight Sky Metallic, and Deep Sea Metallic.

The cabin space was also updated, and now features a 33-inch LED color touchscreen spread out across the dash. Aluminum, Piano Black, genuine wood, and genuine carbon fiber all make the cabin materials list, while a 14-speaker AKG audio system keeps occupants entertained.

As for the greasy bits, the 2024 Cadillac XT4 draws motivation from the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, which is rated at 235 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm. The GM E2 platform provides the bones, while production takes place at the GM Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas City.

  1. I don’t like the refreshed front and I’m glad they didn’t make those same changes to the XT5

    1. Fine, but keep the refreshed model in this country.

  2. If GM was really safety minded, these features would be standard in ALL of the vehicles. Stop making these options options and save more lives!

    1. GM, ok Tomg , we’ll make all the safety features standard. Base price of all our vehicles are now $1800 hire for 2024 models. Tomg: Why are GM vehicles priced so high? Insert eye roll.

      1. Why are base $1800 higher they have done no R and D on their engine in 5 years for better gas/performance/reliability etc. imagine the price if they had ! Which is why they a ranked # 20 in compact SUV !

  3. If they really cared about this safety stuff they’d make it optional on base Luxury. GM is quite hypocritical by acting so concerned about safety but customers must buy higher level to get it. Paying extra is fine bu having to buy top level is what is irksome

    1. 15 years ago these options were never even heard of. Now you want them standard. Why, do you think because it’s standard it’s free? What about the people who don’t need Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure, Traffic Sign Recognition. How about regular Cruise Control, read your own signs and use your own side view mirror. I have a 2007 GMC PU with over 300k miles on and I managed to be fine without that stuff.
