2024 Cadillac CT5-V Refresh Breaks Cover, Shows Incoming Updates

The upcoming 2024 Cadillac CT5 will usher in a mid-cycle refresh for the luxury sedan, as GM Authority exclusively covered back in October of 2022. Updates are expected to include a restyled front fascia and an overhauled cabin, and now, new GM Authority spy photos give us an early look at the freshened front end of the refreshed 2024 Cadillac CT5-V.

As we can from these new spy photos, the refreshed 2024 Cadillac CT5-V presents a restyled fascia with reshaped headlights. The headlight housings now incorporate thin upper lighting signatures that follow the curve of the front fenders, leading down into larger forward-facing lighting elements. The thin lighting signatures continue horizontally into the upper grille line and vertically into the bumper, with the latter bit forming a single, uninterrupted line.

Both the bumper and the grille are new as well. The upper grille section now appears to be thinner than before, and includes a diamond-pattern mesh that is repeated in the new, thinner lower air intake. The rest of the freshened front bumper includes new lines and what appear to winglet shapes in a diagonal arrangement. Meanwhile, the rear end will go unchanged.

To note, the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing will also introduce a model refresh, including a restyled front end, as captured by GM Authority photographers in early March. GM Authority covered these styling changes previously in an exclusive article published March 1st.

In addition to a new front end, the 2024 Cadillac CT5 lineup (including the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V) will also introduce an overhauled cockpit complete with a large interior display with a digital driver instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen. Look for the 2024 Cadillac CT5 to hit production in July of the 2023 calendar year.

As a reminder, the current Cadillac CT5-V cradles the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 LGY gasoline engine, which produces 350 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. Output is routed through the GM 10-speed automatic transmission, with both RWD and AWD available to put the power to the pavement. Under the body panels, the Cadillac CT5 rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

  1. I’m still not understanding this one. My most generous guess is that they are trying to bring the styling in line with the CT4; they should have done the opposite. Really, they just made it look like a previous gen product.

    1. I’m in this camp as well, why are they making the headlights look like 2009 ATS headlights?

      GM works in mysterious ways….

There could be something were not seeing under the camo that hasn’t been revealed yet.

I still say the main emphasis of this refresh should have been to eliminate the fake window at all costs, but that eyesore styling feature still continues on….

    2. I’m sure the end result will look fine but I, too, am fuzzy on why it’s necessary. They could’ve just did the interior and called it a day.

  2. How about more engine options, e.g. 3.6. The CT4 is a baby 1st. gen CT6 to my eye. The new headlights resemble my XTS in the photos.

    1. It already has 3 engines, one being an incredible turbo v6. Why add another engine below that?

Very possible the headlights are being tweaked to accept adaptive headlights. Will likely be a significant improvement over the last model.

      1. I’d rather have a 3.6… it doesn’t require premium to run, and has higher EPA numbers.

        1. Well, if you’re so concerned about finances, why are you getting a Cadillac?

If you want ordinary, get the Malibu.

      2. Which incredible turbo v6? The 3.0 that has only 360hp in 2023 making it the slowest car in its class?

You’re kidding, right? This was some sort of sarcasm by you?

        1. Yeah even a Kia stinger is faster, hopefully they give us a powerbump for the refresh! let it keep up with the M340i!

          1. You do understand that the M340i is almost on par with a CT4v Blackwing in a drag race or maybe even quicker. M340i was recorded doing 1/4 mil in 12.3 seconds at 114 mph and 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. CT4V Blackwing does 1/4 mil in 12.4 seconds at 116 mph surprisingly although there’s no doubt ct4 v blackwing is miles better. So basically what I’m saying is, it would take a miracle for the CT5 V to be able to keep up with a M340i. M340i is way overpowered and way above its league. It would take Ct5 v with a ct4 v blackwing engine with 472 hp to keep up with the M340i and still wouldn’t be enough lmao. Forget about chasing the germans, cadillac should focus on their heritage and go their own path to become an icon.

          2. I will say this, the CT5 V maybe slightly slower in a straight-line against the Stinger GT. But if you are looking to track the car. The CT5 V will absolutely destroy the Stinger GT on track. Being almost on par to the BMW M340i in terms of track performance. Being on 2.5 to 3 mile track, the CT5 V would be almost 10 secs ahead of the Stinger. Sure you may not be getting the straight-line performance. But the CT5 V suspension is worth it when tracking a car.

  3. Nice now I wish Buick offered a version of this called the Buick Regal make it two and four door models…With that 350 horse twin turbo V6 it would maybe be a two door Grand National… Just a thought!

    1. Hoping for anything from Buick that will give anyone under 65 genuine excitement is just setting yourself up for disappointment.

Can’t wait for more “this isn’t your father’s Oldsmobile…err Buick” or “that’s a Buick?” ads for vehicles no one under 50 wants.

  4. Dual Projectors will be nice to have, but im still not sold on the front end change. Just wanted the Interior update TBH.

    1. It would be nice if heated seats were added to the second row of the CT5. I need a function for second row passengers.

      1. Add rear seat climate control to that list. After all, it is a Cadillac and not a Chevrolet. 😉

  5. I said it on the last related post and I’ll say it again here – this refresh design is a regression. I’m taken back to 2014-2016 with these headlights. ATS, XTS, even ELR. I don’t understand the decision to go back when you have the phenomenal Escala and Lyriq to take influence from. Take the nose from the new CT6 in China and it would have been a home run and much more in line with the times.

  6. How about a version of the CT5-V BW with less options. I want one with less tech. I don’t need the electrics to crap out in 5 years.

  7. All I ask is more performance. CT5v should have the TT 3.6l 464hp V6s and 6pis calipers in front with performance 4pis in rear. The current spec of the CT5 should be the setup for the CT4v. Naturally pushing the CT6 to a V8 (no supercharged) 😮‍💨

  8. How about dropping the ct5-v bw motor in the ct4-v bw ? Ok, who’s with me?

    1. Doesn’t fit.

  9. The CT5 was a nice looking car. The problem was the meh interior and the lower half of the engine lineup.

  10. I am glad there are other people who also think the styling looks to be going backwards and its not just me. That being said, I absolutely LOVE everything about my ’21 CT5-V but I will always take a little more power 😉

  11. Is there any way to offer a long wheelbase version with a more formal roof of the CT5? Could work as a new Sixty-Special or Seville package. Wasn’t the CT5 supposed to get a 2-door?
