The Hunter Metallic (color code GED) exterior paint color is no longer available to order on the 2023 GMC Acadia crossover, GM Authority has learned. The hue will be built out after the week of March 20th, 2023.
Hunter Metallic is a gray-green paint color originally introduced with the 2021 GMC Acadia along with two other paint colors new for the 2021 model year.
Only the range-topping Denali trim level of the 2023 GMC Acadia had Hunter Metallic as an available color, priced at $495. The hue was unavailable on the SLE, SLT, or AT4 trims. When ordered on the Denali, Hunter Metallic could be combined with either of the trim’s interior colorways:
- Jet Black
- Dark Galvanized/Light Shale
GM also ended availability of the Light Stone Metallic (color code G5D) exterior paint color for the 2023 Acadia in late February. The color is already built out as of the week of March 6th, 2023.
With the removal of Hunter Metallic as an option, only six paint hues remain available to order for the 2023 GMC Acadia. Three of these debuted with the 2023 model year, including Volcanic Red Tintcoat, priced at $645, Ultra Blue Metallic, and Sterling Metallic, the latter two exterior colors priced at $495.
- Ebony Twilight Metallic
- Sterling Metallic (new for 2023)
- Summit White
- Ultra Blue Metallic (new for 2023)
- Volcanic Red Tintcoat (new for 2023)
- White Frost Tricoat
It’s currently unknown if Hunter Metallic will return for the upcoming 2024 model year after becoming unavailable on the 2023 GMC Acadia. The 2024 GMC Acadia, with start of regular production (SORP) scheduled for January of the 2024 calendar year, ushers in an all-new generation of the Acadia nameplate.
The 2024 GMC Acadia is one of a trio of GM crossovers with a new generation planned to debut within the next several years. The Chevy Traverse will launch first, followed by the GMC Acadia, with the Buick Enclave last, sources close to the matter have told GM Authority.
The third-generation 2024 GMC Acadia will be a full-size crossover, with larger overall dimensions than the current second-generation vehicle. It will ride on a modified version of the GM C1 platform, or C1-2. The 2024 Acadia will get an exterior and interior overhaul along with new technology such as the GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assist system.
The 2023 GMC Acadia is produced at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee. The next-generation 2024 model year will see production moved to the Lansing Delta Township plant instead.

Every car manufacturer can increase sales by offering an interior color other than black on all trim levels. Also, lowering prices by 10% for mid and high level trims- not many additional options for the inflated price. GM please larger seats especially on luxury models, the 2023 seats are too narrow. Strive for a model that you can sell at $400.00 per month for 60 or 72 months and you may actually regain market share.
They sold for volume in the past and went bankrupt. Why go back?
If you can’t afford new, find something used.
More things offer higher the. It’s of stocking more parts.
That make it difficult to,lower prices.
Seat side depends on the size of your own A$$.
They can and sell and offer cheaper models. Just don’t expect an Acadia.
Pricing and optioning vehicles is very difficult the lower the price. Often corners are cut and quality slips like at Ford recently.
So lower the price on the higher trims that people can afford? It should be the other way around, lower the starting price on the base and mid level models and recoup some money on those that just want to check all the boxes as they can afford it. I hate seeing on the trucks when it is a proportional price increase across all trims or the base trims see a higher price increase than the base trucks. It should be the other way around.
The irony here is GM is goig “green”,but they hate the color green. Let me have a Denali or High Country 3500 and I will buy today. (2024)
GM better wake up and make automobiles again not junk … 40 years ago was the leader the best now I have no idea what they are‼️‼️
No larger platform until Jan. ’24–shaw!
I was hoping to move into a newer, larger Acadia in Sept/Oct ’23. Well Traverse will get a good look if it’s refreshed as mentioned.
Only Available In CHINA!!!
