The 2023 Chevy Tahoe and 2023 Chevy Suburban arrive as the third model year for the current generation of each respective SUV nameplate, the former of which is now in its fifth generation, and the latter of which is now in its twelfth generation. Now, both the 2023 Chevy Tahoe and 2023 Chevy Suburban are available to order with a specific black grille.
The piece in question is simply called “Black Grille,” and is tagged with RPO code RZB. The grille includes bold Chevrolet lettering spelled out horizontally across the grille, as well as a black finish.
The Black Grille (RPO code RZB) for the 2023 Chevy Tahoe and 2023 Chevy Suburban is offered as an LPO-level option, which means it is installed by the dealer when the vehicle is delivered, rather than at the factory when the vehicle is initially produced.
The Black Grille (RPO code RZB) is available to order for 2023 Chevy Tahoe and 2023 Chevy Suburban LS, LT, RST, and Premier trim levels, but is not offered on Z71 trim levels or High Country trim levels. Additionally, the piece is not available in conjunction with the Black Bow Tie emblems (RPO code SFZ) or the Black illuminated front Bow Tie emblem (RPO code R88), both of which are LPO-level items as well.
The Black Grille (RPO code RZB) for the 2023 Chevy Tahoe and 2023 Chevy Suburban is priced at $850. The piece adds a bold look to the SUVs’ front end, with the “Chevrolet” brand script laid out in large lettering just below the headlights.
As a reminder, the 2023 Chevy Tahoe and 2023 Chevy Suburban are offered with three engine options, including the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine. Both SUVs ride on the GM T1 platform, and both are produced at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

Yet another whiff GM! Take a work-truck looking grill/facia and put it on one of the most expensive vehicles in the Chevrolet inventory. uh…..NO! Who comes up with this stuff?
It’s no different than those “FORD” grills that everyone buys to make their ’97 F150 look like a Raptor…
Why wouldn’t you want to make your $80k full-size utility look like a WT pickup trim, and pay for the privilege? Then again, if you’re stupid enough to pay close to $100k for something that will depreciate by half within 3 years, I shouldn’t even be asking such questions.
$850 ??
$850 for a W/T looking grill? Probably costs less than the production grill and the dealer puts in the stocker in parts.
Wow only in the 2020’s Malaise era II would someone pay 850.00 large ones to cheapen the look of their 100K ride to work truck levels!
Looks good on my 2023 Tahoe! I get so many compliments!!
