The Full semi-aniline leather seating option for the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is now available to order again, GM Authority has been informed. The seating has been under constraint and unavailable since autumn 2022.
The front bucket high-performance full semi-aniline leather seats with mini-perforated inserts, custom quilting and carbon fiber front seatbacks were unavailable because the carbon fiber seatbacks were constrained by supplier issues.
GM is making the option available again by omitting the still-constrained carbon fiber seatbacks from the seating. The full semi-aniline leather seats were originally priced at $8,050. Now, the seating option with the carbon fiber seatbacks removed is priced at $5,190.
The semi-aniline leather seats are offered in three colorways (interior codes in parentheses):
- Jet Black with Jet Black accents (HMR)
- Natural Tan with Jet Black accents (HJC)
- Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black accents (HJD)
The 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing normally includes leather seating surfaces with mini-perforated inserts in Jet Black (interior code HGM) as standard.
Buyers have the option of upgrading to leather seating surfaces with sueded front seatbacks in either Jet Black (interior code HEA) or Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black accents (HEB) at a price of $2,890. The leather with sueded seatbacks seating is an intermediate option between standard seats and full semi-aniline leather.
The upcoming model year of Cadillac’s range-topping luxury mid-size sports sedan will introduce a mid-cycle refresh, as GM Authority exclusively revealed. Some of the planned changes include an updated front end with a new lighting treatment, a revamp of the lower front fascia, and a refreshed cabin. A refresh for the “regular” Cadillac CT5 lineup is also slated for the 2024 model year, as GM Authority exclusively reported last October.
GM Authority spies snapped images of the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing prototype during recent testing. The spy shots show GM has dropped the current two-part LED light element in favor of an uninterrupted vertical lighting signature, among other visual changes.
As a reminder, the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is powered by the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, developing 668 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 659 pound-feet of torque at 3,600 rpm. The engine connects to the rear-wheel drivetrain via a standard six-speed manual transmission co-developed with Tremec, with the GM 10-speed automatic transmission optionally available.
Under the skin, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform. Production of the Blackwing takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.
