GM has released a pair of closely related customer satisfaction programs to provide 2023 Buick Envision owners with a second keyfob, GM Authority has learned.
The second keyfob was unavailable at time of production and delivery of certain 2023 Buick Envision units due to the semiconductor chip shortage. Now, the constraint is lifted and dealers can supply the owners with their second keyfob.
GM issued two customer satisfaction programs to dealers because two separate groups of 2023 Buick Envision crossovers were affected by the keyfob constraint.
GM service bulletin N222385500 applies to 2023 Envision units equipped with the remote engine starter (RPO code BTV) and the power liftgate (RPO code TC2). On the base Envision Preferred trim level with front-wheel drive, these two features are only available as part of the Comfort and Convenience Package (RPO code PS1). Remote engine start and the power liftgate are fitted as standard on the Preferred AWD as well as the Essence and Avenir trim levels.
The other customer satisfaction program, N222385501, applies to Envisions without the remote engine starter and power liftgate. Which means Preferred FWD units ordered without the Comfort and Convenience Package.
Buyers of the 2023 Envision received one keyfob and two cut keys at the time of purchase. The dealership also notified these buyers of the availability of a second keyfob at no additional cost once the necessary parts became available.
The fix is simple, requiring the owner to stop by their Buick dealership, where service personnel will program their second keyfob and give it to them.
Owners of affected 2023 Buick Envision crossovers can use the Buick customer service telephone number and customer satisfaction program number below if more information is desired.

As a reminder, the 2023 Buick Envision is motivated by the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine as the sole powerplant option. Peak output is rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, which reaches the front wheels as standard, or all four wheels as an optional upgrade. Power is relayed via the GM 9-speed automatic transmission.
The 2023 Envision rides on the GM E2 platform under the body panels, while production takes place exclusively at the GM Jinqiao plant in Shanghai, China.
