According to GM Authority sources, there are four option packages for the 2023 Chevy Trailblazer that are currently under constraint. The Driver Confidence and Cruise Package includes the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):

The Adaptive Cruise Control Package is also under constraint. Tagged with RPO code PGY, the Adaptive Cruise Control package is normally $700 option for LT trim levels, with pricing reduced to $475 if selected in conjunction with the Premium Seating Package (RPO code PCL). The Adaptive Cruise Control Package requires the Convenience Package (RPO code ZL3, $520) and either the Driver Confidence Package (RPO code ZL5, $345) or the Confidence II Package (RPO code SOR, $145). 2. I love my Trail Blazer. I had to trade in my Traverse when my husband passed away. I couldn’t afford the payments. The only thing I miss is the third roll sitting. It’s a nice little car.
My is black with burgundy top.

  3. WHY? What the hell is going on at GM? These constraints essentially make them unsalable! I wouldn’t buy one. GM needs new leadership now!

  4. The micro chip shortage is now in at least it’s third year ,there is something very wrong in our GM purchasing Department and in our sourcing policies ,deleting these options really will definitely hurt sales ,especially against out competitors in this competitive market today !

  5. Wow people, all the manufacturers still have constraints on parts that require technology (chips and sensors). Ford, RAM, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, etc all have issues with the supply chain. There are a few reasons for this. First, the vast majority of chips are still made in China (It takes 2-3 yrs to build a new chip plant from scratch due to the 100% clean-room environment required and it is a 3 year wait for the computerized equipment to be built required to build these chips). Plus the main water supply for Chinese factories are two major lakes which have all but dried up in the last 4 yrs of drought they have had. They are having to pump water from other sources which has cut production severely. Third, every one of these sensors/chips requires plastic parts. And there is a shortage of plastic due to the war in Europe. All plastics come from oil, and all the extra oil the US, and other main producers have is being shipped to Europe to help the countries Russia cut off. Manufacturers are having problems getting wiring harnesses, modules, seat foam, plastic panels, etc manufacturers of these parts can’t get enough oil.. So it has been a snow-ball affect in the last three years with three or four major causes, not just one. Also don’t forget that GM is also retro-fitting many chips into vehicles that were built without certain options whereas other manufacturers like Ford told their customers “Too bad, so sad, your expensive vehicle just won’t get those features”. Retro-fitting chips takes chips away from the production line too.

  6. Just give me a 1970 Chevelle with a 350 and a 4 on the floor with power steering, power brakes, A/C and a stereo and you can have all the rest of the crap that all these new cars have. All that was needed to change the alternator was a crowbar and a 5/8 inch socket wrench. Nowadays you need a masters degree in engineering just to operate the info system and the heating and cooling controls

  7. I was sold a 2023 Trailblazer RS August 2023. I never saw the window sticker and was NEVER informed about the chips missing for my heated seats and heated steering wheel. As of today, I still don’t have the heated steering wheel.
I sold my 2020 jeep to this dealership and used the money for down payment on the trailblazer.
I kept going to the salesman and general manager asking why they never told me about the chips. They said they didn’t know this vehicle didn’t have them.
I learned by calling Corporate GM they were supposed to inform me of this and was supposed to sign a form that I knew about it. Also that the dealership that sold me the vehicle did indeed know about the missing chips.
I suppose when you’re a mature female and you go alone to a car dealership that’s the way you get treated.
Very frustrated and disappointed in Hopkinsville, KY!!
