Poll: Is The 2024 Cadillac XT4 Hot, Or Not?

GM unwrapped the 2024 Cadillac XT4 earlier this week, officially unveiling a full model refresh that includes new tech features, a new interior, and of course, a revised exterior. Now, we want to know – is the 2024 Cadillac XT4 hot, or not?

To find out, we’re comparing the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 to the pre-refresh model, which was produced for the 2019 through 2023 model year. Let’s start with the front end, where we find new LED headlamps with a set of vertical front lighting signatures and daytime running lights. The lights on the refreshed XT4 are slimmer than those on the pre-refresh crossover, with stacked forward lighting placed lower in the corners of the front fascia.

The grille is also new, offered as a “fresh reinterpretation of the classic Cadillac chevron” and incorporating a new mesh layout finished in deep black gloss. Lower in the fascia, a complementary mesh section covers up the lower intake. The 2024 Cadillac XT4 Premium Luxury trim offers an exclusive grille and fascia treatment as well.

As for the profile, the fenders, windowline, and roofline all look familiar. However, the 2024 Cadillac XT4 refresh does introduce brand-new wheels to the mix, with fresh 18-inch and 20-inch designs on offer.

Moving around to the rear, we find familiar L-shaped taillights. The lower bits of the rear fascia, however, are new, with the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 incorporating vertically oriented reflectors and a new lower bumper section with integrated exhaust tips.

  1. This is probably the best MCE GM has put out in years. Why did you not show the comparison of the interiors which is the most extensive and best part of the MCE? Like I mentioned in other threads, GM needs to duplicate these same changes in the XT6. I was also hoping for maybe a few more ponies out of the 2.0 liter Turbo, like 260 or 270? The 2.7 i guess was not even on the table.

  4. Good looking for a SUV, but How can anyone consider a SUV hot ? Now maybe when Corvette does a sedan /suv It maybe hot. The last Caddy that was hot was the CTSV coupe

  5. I always liked the XT4 and thankful they didn’t mess it up with this refresh. The interior is a big bonus and major leap forward too.

Now if they can apply the interior to the CT4 and CT5, I’ll have some interesting shopping to do in 2 years.

  6. What about a V series? Twin turbo V/6 anyone? Platform more than likely would have to be reengineered.
Just one car guy’s opinion. Tried and true ICE!

  8. I will probably buy one, only because the alternatives are worse! The XT5 is going electric before I am ready, and the Envision is from China.

  9. Why is the fuel fill on the passenger side? I do not have a riding mechanic!

    1. Yea, kind of an oxymoron for a car you would think would be all about convenience.

  10. Looks like a redesigned Lyriq……….boy are the designs beginning to merge or what?

  11. There is no such thing as a “hot” SUV. “Boring” is more like it. In contrast, a performance sport coupe or sedan can be “hot”.

  12. The XT4 needs a “V” series or at the very least a more powerful engine option. The XT4 is VERY s-l-o-w…..

  13. The 2024 looks finished.
But the power should have been bumped up as well.

  14. Not bad for a hatchback.

  15. Exterior and particularly the interior refresh should increase the popularity of the XT4.

  16. The 2024 is an improvement, but I just don’t like the overall Cadillac aesthetic. I saw two separate incidents where non-car people stop their conversation mid-sentence just to comment on how ugly the XT4 looked to them as it passed by. I think it has to do with Cadillac’s vertical lights giving it an uncanny appearance.

    1. Also on the ct whatever the call it now ,I don’t care for how the real window on the sedans are extenuated by a plastic piece. Looks like a Chevy Cruze

      1. I agree, the CT5 has a ugly side rear glass and 1/4 panel. The CT4 is much better looking. Regarding the Cruze, they looked best in the hatchback design, better looking for sure than the 4dr sedans.

  17. The styling of the XT4 is an evolution of the current XT4. Sales are what they expected and from the comments many have said they will buy the new one. Repeat sales is the hallmark of success. Look at Toyota for that. To incorporate some of the Lyric styling is a good decision. Cadillac has to pull a Lexus and reduce the price to build market share. The current buyers were not born when Cadillac was a prestige brand and a sign of success.

  19. Visually it’s stunning inside and out. I’d like to see an updated 2.0L turbo for it. The current one, although makes a nice flat torque curve, is far behind the output and charisma of the German 2.0L turbo’s.
They used to have a higher output 2.0L in the cobalt SS with the factory stage kit, It’d be nice to be closer to 300hp in the sport trim.
It wouldn’t stop me from buying one, but I’d be putting a tune on it for sure.

  20. I recently had the pleasure of driving a Cadillac #XT-4, and WOW, was I impressed. The new iteration puts the #XT-4 into a different league. More uncommon from most of the SUV’s on the market. Extremely high class looking. More sport, not your wife’s SUV picking up the children at school. A wider stance gives it a more aggressive profile. All in all, major improvements are well deserving for such a pleasurable vehicle to drive! Any electric version on the forcacst? When will they become available? I’m HOT to TROT, to get one! All depends on the color and assembly of models. Basic, Mid-level Lux, full line “Cadillac”, and last but no lease, a sport model? Put a 4 or 6 cylinder, with an electronic boost, and you would have a “top drawer” vehicle . Just like when I traded my 2010, #S-550-AWD, for my new MB, #CLS-450-AWD. WOW, oh how I loved the #S-550, but the #CLS-450, AWD Is totally different. I feel like I am regaining my youth! A #S-550/, twin turbo/4-matic, and I trade for a #CLS-450-4-matic, with an in-line six and an electronic booster, and I’m thirty again! The “Cadillac” #XT-4 could be my next “drive around” car. Still with that sporty feel and looks! Keep it up Cadillac, victory is yours!

  22. A Corvette is hot. A Blackwing is hot. An XT4 is Not! SUV’s are almost as boring as EV’s…

  23. Is there an option for a chrome, or chrome trimmed grille, because the all-black looks CHEAP.

  24. Front end, beneath the grill is a big improvement for 2024. Will probably do a two year lease when my current 2020 XT4 is up in fall. Waiting patiently for the compact Cadillac EV (mini Lyriq coming soon I hope).
