GM unveiled the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV early last year at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show, pulling the wrapper off an all-new, all-electric variant for the popular pickup nameplate. Now, we’re getting a look at the new 2024 Chevy Silverado EV in Habanero Orange thanks to this new photo.
Although we’ve previously seen the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV in Habanero Orange courtesy of a new Super Bowl advertisement from GM and Netflix, this image definitely provides us with a cleaner, clearer look at the truck in the eye-searing Habanero Orange paint color. Notably, this particular example is also the Trail Boss trim, as is the example featured in the new video ad.
Compared to images of the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV RST First Edition and Silverado EV WT, the Silverado EV Trail Boss stands out thanks to a number of interesting bits and pieces. For starters, the front fascia incorporates a mix of black and silver, with a darker glossy finish for the grille and upper fascia, and a silver lower section in the bumper that suggests a sort of skid plate design. The lower bumper also incorporates a pair of red tow hooks. By comparison, the Chevy Silverado EV RST First Edition incorporates a body-colored upper fascia and grille section, while the Chevy Silverado EV WT incorporates a matte black upper fascia and grille section.
Also notable is the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV Trail Boss’ contrasting black roof, a feature also found on the Silverado EV RST First Edition. Images of the Silverado EV WT show a body-colored roof. In the corners, the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV Trail Boss rides on a set of two-tone wheels, with a black inner section and silver outer section. The wheels are wrapped in what appears to be Goodyear Wrangler Territory M/T rubber.
The 2024 Chevy Silverado EV Trail Boss will join the Silverado EV RST First Edition and Silverado EV WT as one of many different model variants in what is expected to be a “full Silverado EV portfolio.” More information on pricing and equipment is still forthcoming.
As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV features GM’s Ultium battery and GM Ultium drive motors, riding on the GM BT1 platform. Production will take place this Spring at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.

I like this color on it
Looks red to me, not orange.
They screwed up again on the names. In habanero names, it’s Caribbean Red.
It’s pretty much like a Dark Orange.
I like how 4 people had to down vote that you like the color. These comments sections are hilarious.
Lol
Carolina Reaper, go big or go home.
Not hot. The tires are nice though.
Let’s see more trim levels already GM.
So far, all that’s coming is the RST, Work Truck and Trail Boss.
Curious what trail boss will cost .. how off road capable it will be . I think it’s ok color.
There was mention of 2 trim levels for around $66k and $76k. I’m thinking $76k.
Price and timing already GM!! Or Rivian might get my money now!
Very nice color! Would like to see it on other Chevrolet vehicles. Still not a fan of its overall design though.
Not for me.
Ironic as this EV has no gas, lol!!
Saw the goofy GM commercial during the SB last night. Glad we quit Netflix months ago due to woke programming.
Cool cuz it’s their EV of the Silverado, but sucks because it’s an Avalanche Ridgeline Escalade EXT rehash. They could’ve at least been original with the design.
Yeah, like pick up trucks offer such ground breaking design in the auto industry to begin with
Anybody know how much this thing will weigh? I know EV’s tend to be heavy becasue of the battery packs, especially the EV’s with a lot of range.
Same as a Hummer. Weigh (yes, a pun) too much.
Loved the sb commercial last nite about the ev moving forward. It was nail on the head only for wrong reason, you become a zombie if you get one, lol so true, you become a brain dead zombie. Wake up, this ev revolution is such a scam jmho, to each their own though.
Colors not bad. We need all the color choices we can get.. Like to see it on the Colorado Z71.
The SB ad was predictably as weak as the message that GM will have EV product placement in upcoming Netflix content. Typically this is not something you put out for public consumption. What makes it even worse is that NONE of these vehicles are even available, yet they are dropping millions in advertising. With that said, I do like the Silverado EV, but not for over $100k.
Not concerned about the color but otherwise this is the most attractive variants shown so far.
Doesn’t hurt having choices other than red, black, silver and white. If you like it choose it, if not choose the color you want. I’m just glad to see more color options. All new colors my not appeal to everyone but at least there are options. Be nice if they would offer new colors across the board.
VW offered this color also.
Looks like it needs a V-8.
