Here Are All The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Paint Colors

As previously covered by GM Authority, the upcoming 2024 Cadillac Lyriq will be available with a choice of eight exterior paint colors. Today, we’re going to take a look at each of these hues.

As a quick refresher, the eight paint colors for the Lyriq are as follows (relevant color codes in parenthesis):

  • Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
  • Opulent Blue Metallic (GTR)
  • Nimbus Metallic (G7X)
  • Emerald Lake Metallic (G6I)
  • Crystal White Tricoat (G1W)
  • Celestial Metallic (GJY)
  • Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
  • Stellar Black Metallic (GB8)
The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Sport is shown here painted in Radiant Red Tintcoat.

It’s worth noting that the Stellar Black Metallic paint job can’t be ordered with the black roof (RPO code 41T) option because, obviously, the roof is already black.

In addition to a new list of exterior paint colors, the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq will also receive a new trim level, the base Tech trim. This all-new trim will slot below the Luxury and Sport variants, and will be available in North American in either RWD or AWD configurations.

As first uncovered by GM Authority, a 2024 Lyriq in the Tech trim with RWD will have a starting price of $58,590, which includes the destination freight charge. The MSRP rises to $74,590 for the range-topping Sport 3 variant with AWD.

In regards to specifications, the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq will continue to ride on the GM BEV3 platform, while motivation is provided by GM Ultium batteries and GM Ultium Drive motors. Production of the all-electric luxury crossover will continue to take place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.

  1. Haha – We Will See – but I’m not holding my breath……

The 2023 Lyriq models were SUPPOSED to come initially in 2, then 4 colors, so last may 19th (2022) I hard build ordered an OPULENT BLUE METALIC 2wd vehicle – the paint being the only optional extra..

Seven months later, I was informed by my Sales Manager that the only available cars (supposedly of the 8,200 manufactured during 2022) were BLACK METALIC, so I’ll STILL have to pay more for Henry Ford’s “Any Color you want as long as its BLACK”.

I asked when the 2024s were going to be available, and he guessed 6 to 8 months AFTER i’d received a black 2023… But the 2023 isn’t going to be here until APRIL 2023 by his guesstimate. So quite obviously I’m getting a black one – and GM has obviously violated a contractual agreement…. But they don’t care. It also means the first 2024s will arrive some time in early 2024..

It will be interesting to see if they continue to play games with the 2024 models as they have with the 2023s, – for instance all this talk about paint colors and drive trains was silly nonsense… There are no AWD 2023s PERIOD, and other than a few early slivers, and a whopping TWO vehicles for media test drives that were BLUE, all the remainder are BLACK.

    1. I was in a similar boat to the other poster; I preordered the day before orders were opened to the general public and heard crickets on the order until I proactively contacted the dealer last week to check the status.

Of course, I already knew about the fiasco which they called a 2023MY soft launch (more like a limp launch-watching that was just sad). The dealer said GM is not doing a good job informing dealers of their allocations so they couldn’t give me even a general estimate of delivery date. So it sounds like its still a cluster.

The sales person emailed yesterday to tell me he would be calling “sometime this spring” to reconfigure the order because the color and config I selected are no longer available.

I was hoping they would offer a dark gray metallic exterior, but they seemed to have chosen to add more feminine color options instead. Nothing wrong with that, a lot of their buyers will likely be female so it makes sense. Guess I will stick with Black on Black.

I do like that they added the Stone color interior but the $3500 up-charge is steep. I know it’s real leather instead of the standard polyurethane-based seat coverings, but that’s still pricey.

Most of the option groups are logical, but having to chose the top-line trim to get a power lift gate on a luxury vehicle makes little sense to me – that’s a Honda-like move.

I still planning to purchase one, but my enthusiasm has waned significantly over the last year of waiting. I own a Telsa (okay car, but not very comfortable) and a Ford MachE (excellent car with a terrible Phone app – recent software update for the driver interface system was a major improvement).

I’ve heard they will extend a discount offer to the 2023 res holders, I hope that’s true.

I’m also thankful that haven’t played pricing games Ford did with their Lightening truck.

I can’t decide which launch was worse, the Lightening or the Lyric. I guess it’s still too early to tell on the Lyric because they don’t seem to be done mucking around.

  2. The Colors are unbalanced IMO
    One Dark Color Black
Three Medium Colors Opulent Blue and Red Tint and Green
    Four Light/Pastel Colors White/Argent Silver/Celestial(A light Blue)and Nimbus(A Powder Blue)
One of the Light/Pastel Colors should go leaving Three Light Colors which will include the White Tricoat
A Dark color should be added such as Galactic Grey Metallic(A Dark Blue), my pick or Rosewood Metallic

  3. This is the most interesting color palate I’ve seen from GM in quite some time. I’m particularly drawn to the Emerald Lake Metallic, and bonus points for offering a (matching?) Juniper green interior. The only problem with the Juniper interior is that it requires the leather seating package (which should already be standard, this is a Cadillac not a Kia), but only available on top Luxury 3 and Sport 3 trim. Add in AWD and a sunroof, and the price is north of $80k.

  5. GM has been advertising this car like mad but good luck actually purchasing one. I have tried. The dealer that I have purchased two new Cadillacs from literally laughed and said “good luck”. Then proceeded to tell me that if they could get one in they would charge me 10k above sticker. So, I returned the favor and laughed at him and said no thanks. I have since ordered a Fisker Ocean and Cadillac has lost a loyal customer.

  6. And which colors go with this Green Leather Interior besides the Emerald and White?
Why leave all that added margin on the table by not offering a Black leather interior which pairs with any color?
Black leather should be a option on the Lux/Sport 2 and 3 just like the Sunroof Option on Lux/Sport 2 and 3 Lyriq’s
Any buyer who wants fake leather can have the standard seats, buyers who prefer real leather will pay the $4K asked,
There should be no reason to have to order a Lux/Sport 3 just to have Real Leather especially since the Lux/Sport 3
comes only with 22″ Low profile tires that a Rural or Urban buyer with gravel roads and pot holed streets doesn’t want or need to deal with.

Who is attempting to reduce the Margins and ATP’s on the 2024 Lyriq?

    1. I configured my ’24 AWD at my dealer yesterday. Went with Lux 3 trim just to get the auto power lift gate and rear view camera mirror. Unfortunately, the Lux 3 requires the 22″ wheels when I only wanted 20″ wheels for slightly better range, a slightly better ride, & less harsh on tire wear. I decided against leather interior which meant I couldn’t get lighted front door sills ugh! Why does GM package stuff when they’re not even related! I ordered the Celestial Metallic (late availability) with Sky Cool Gray interior.

  7. At least they tease the people are interested with Green. On the other hand, someone like me that is in the market for a Hd doesn’t get a green!

You do know that gas powered golf carts exist too, right?

  10. Forget about all these color options…go back to the basics like black or gray inside and 4 colors outside and ACTUALLY BUILD the vehicles. There is so much crap coming out of GMs marketing department that they seem to be trying to deflect the fact that these cars are not being delivered to customers. 2023 production ends in less than a month and I do not believe they even have any AWD vehicles produced yet. Maybe they need to bring the Chinese workers to the US to actually build the cars here. This is the second GM car I ordered with no production date and extremely long, long wait time. I’m looking at other vehicles that are actually physically on lots and can be purchased.

  11. All this GM Lyriq nonsense with very limited 2022 production, limited colors, delays and moving at the speed of molasses coming out with them was ridiculous. We decided to buy the Kia EV6, which has an interior dashboard very similar to the Lyriq. The EV6 was announced during the Super Bowl 2022 and we bought a beautiful red metallic RWD “Wind” model with 310 miles of range just 3 months later in April 2022. We are extremely happy with it. We took a trip to Yosemite in May and the DC Fast charging was so fast (almost twice as fast as the Lyriq) we didn’t even have time to eat lunch before it fully charged from 5% to 100% in 40 minutes in Bakersfield after driving 285 miles. There were plenty of 350KW charging stations from Las Vegas all the way to Yosemite, so we had no problem finding them and using them flawlessly. Going there we only needed one charging stop at Bakersfield, CA after traveling 285 miles!! The Kia EV6 is truly a joy to own and use.

  12. I wish they would add heating steering wheel to the Tech level. Also anyone know if the AWD mileage newar RWD is simply a function of a bigger battery or is it the AWD true efficiency they might have come up with like full disengagement?
